In view of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, the Political Budget, which started on the special intensive revision (SIR) being conducted in the state by the Election Commission (ECI), is not taking the name of stopping. Giving information in a post on social media platform X on Friday (July 25, 2025), news agency ANI said that the Election Commission said in its June 24 order on the revision of voter lists that to keep the constitution rules to protect the voter lists, it has now decided to start the SIR in the entire country. A program will be released for this in the rest of the country.

The Election Commission says that to make the voter list transparent, it is necessary to review it from time to time, so that the disqualified persons involved in it can be removed and the correction of the election can be increased. In the Assembly of Pakistan’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, a Sikh leader has been selected on the minority seat allotted to the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F). The Commission said that JUI-F candidate Gurpal Singh was elected unopposed on the seat reserved for minorities, which is an important achievement for the minority Sikh community.

Singh belongs to Malik Deen Khel tribe in Bara in Khyber district. Shahida Waheed of Awami National Party (ANP) was selected through a draw on a seat reserved for women in the provincial assembly. On the instructions of the Pakistan Election Commission, a process of drawing a reserve minority seat between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and JUI-F and ANP and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was organized for the allocation of draws for the allocation of a reserved women’s seat.

During the proceedings, the PML-N delegation formally withdrew its candidate Gorsaran Lal in favor of JUI-F candidate Singh.
