What did Shashi Tharoor say in clarification?

He has posted on social media giving his clarification on this entire political controversy. He said, ‘I neither mentioned BJP nor took the name of any CM or leader. I praised Nalanda University and the two museums I visited. These include Bapu Tower and Bihar Museum. I appealed to Indians to visit these wonderful places and said that the roads and facilities in these areas are good. Why create political controversies over such common matters which have nothing to do with politics?

Congress Party’s Lok Sabha MP Vamsi Krishna Gaddam reached Parliament House with an electric bike. He told that the level of air pollution in Delhi is high, hence he came to Parliament using an electric bike. According to the MP, this electric bike runs for about 100 kilometers on a charge of just Rs 20. ‘RG’ was written on the bike.

Its price is said to be around Rs 1 lakh. Vamsi Krishna Gaddam said that in view of pollution, attention should be paid to the use of electric vehicles. There was discussion in the Parliament premises regarding his initiative. While talking to the media, the Congress MP told that he has made this bike himself and has also taken all the permissions related to it.

Hearing in Supreme Court on pollution tomorrow
The Supreme Court on Monday said it will hear on December 17 a petition related to worsening air pollution levels in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR). A bench of Chief Justice (CJI) Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice Vipul M Pamcholi considered the arguments of senior advocate Aparajita Singh, who is assisting the court as amicus curiae. Singh said that unless this court gives any direction, the officers do not follow the already existing protocol.

On this the CJI said, ‘This matter will come before a bench of three judges on Wednesday. There will be a hearing on this. Another lawyer, citing an application related to health issues of children, said that despite earlier orders, schools are organizing outdoor sports activities. The amicus curiae also said, ‘Despite this court order, schools have found ways to organize these sports activities…these activities are taking place. CAQM (Commission for Air Quality Management) is once again citing this court order.

AQI crossed 400
On Monday, Delhi remained wrapped in a blanket of dense smog, due to which the Air Quality Index (AQI) reached 498, which falls in the ‘severe’ category. The air quality was ‘severe’ at 38 centres, while it was ‘very poor’ at two centres. Jahangirpuri recorded an AQI of 498, which was the worst air quality center among all the 40 centres.

Congress MP Geniben Thakor has once again raised the demand to give Gau Mata the status of ‘National Mother’. He said that the people of the whole country, saints and trusts of Gaushala are all demanding this in the same voice. He appealed to the Gujarat government to give the status of ‘State Mata’ to ‘Gau Mata’ at least at the state level.

Geniben Thakor said, “There is only one demand for the people of the overall country. Those who believe in the saint and cow mother, the trustee of Gaushala, who is the only demand of the Gaushala that Gau Mata should get the status of national mother. When I get a chance to speak in the Lok Sabha, I said that cow mother should get the status of national mother.”

Congress MP Geniben Thakor further said, “When there was a government of Eknath Shinde in Maharashtra, he also gave the status of Rajya Mata to Gau Mata in Maharashtra.”

Appeal to Gujarat government too

Congress MP Geniben Thakor clearly said that he has officially taken steps on this issue. The MP said, “I have also written a letter to the Kutch Collector. All the saints are making the same demand that Gau Mata should get the status of national mother.”

Varsha gaikwad on dharavi redeveloopment project: The decision to give the land of Kurla Mother Dairy for the rehabilitation of the residents of Dharavi under the Dharavi Redevelopment Project in Mumbai is being opposed by the citizens. In this regard, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has written a letter and informed about his opposition.

In the letter, Congress MP Varsha Gaikwad has written that under the Dharavi redevelopment project, the residents of Dharavi are going to be rehabilitated on the land of Mother Dairy in Kurla, not in Dharavi. Such a decision has been taken by the state government. Keeping in mind the interests of the developer, the terms and conditions have been changed to give the land of Kurla Mother Dairy, considered environmentally sensitive to the Dharavi redevelopment project.

Botanical Garden should be established

Varsha Gaikwad wrote in the letter that Kurla residents are being strongly opposed by the Kurla residents of Kurla Mother Dairy. There is a demand of the citizens that the Botanical Garden (Botanical Park) should be established there by not giving the land of Mother Dairy to the Dharavi redevelopment project. There are more than one thousand precious trees in this area and this area is very important in terms of environmental balance.

Government accused of not paying attention to the demand of citizens

According to the letter, protest rally, agitation and signature campaigns are being conducted by citizens for several days to save this land. But the government is not paying serious attention to this. Ignoring the opposition of the citizens, the government has decided to give this land to the Dharavi redevelopment project. Due to this, citizens are angry and make the movement more intense.

Therefore, this decision taken by the government is being strongly opposed by the government, ignoring public sentiments and environmental issues without taking citizens in confidence. We make a humble request to you on behalf of the citizens that this decision should be immediately canceled and set up a botanical garden at that place.
