A study revealed that patients who took mRNA vaccine along with immunotherapy for lung cancer or melanoma (a type of skin cancer), their life expectancy almost doubled. At the same time, the average age of those who did not take the vaccine was 20.6 months. A study by MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas and the University of Florida looked at data from more than 1,000 patients who had severe lung cancer or melanoma. Research found that patients who took an mRNA Covid vaccine (such as Pfizer or Moderna) within 100 days of starting immunotherapy had twice the survival rate of those without the vaccine.

The results of this study were presented at the 2025 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) conference and published in the journal Nature. Researchers say that mRNA vaccine activates the immune system in the body, making it easier to eliminate cancer cells. Icmr aiims covid study: The fear and questions about the Kovid-19 vaccine and the sudden deaths have been answered on them. The new study of ICMR and AIIMS clearly states that there is no direct connection between vaccine and sudden deaths in India.

According to the report, the cause of these deaths is not the vaccine, but pre -existing diseases, poor lifestyle and body texture (genetic causes). That is, if someone has heart disease, sugar or high blood pressure already and treatment is not correct then the risk of death may increase. It has nothing to do with the vaccine. It has also been clear from the study that the covid vaccine is safe and people do not need to be afraid of it.

What did you know from the study?

The study has revealed that there is no direct connection between the vaccine and sudden deaths. In most cases, the cause of death was already present diseases, genetic causes and unhealthy lifestyle. Also, serious side effects from vaccine are very rare. In particular, two important research studies have been done to investigate the sudden deaths in youth between 18 and 45 years.

These scientific studies have found that not vaccination, but heart attack, poor lifestyle, pre -existing diseases and genetic causes are responsible for such deaths. This study of ICMR was done between May to August 2023 in 47 big hospitals in 19 states of the country. In this, cases of people who looked completely healthy, but suddenly they died between October 2021 to March 2023. The report clearly states that no direct connection was found between these deaths and the covid vaccine.

Joint study of AIIMS-HICMR is just released

The second study of AIIMS Delhi and ICMR is still going on. The purpose of this study is to understand the causes of sudden deaths. Initial findings have revealed that the heart attack is the most common reason. Genetic reasons have also been found in many cases. The figures so far have also revealed that there has been no unusual increase in the number of sudden deaths compared to previous years.

Research on vaccine: According to the new research, if the booster dose of the vaccine is taken on the same side in which the first dose was installed, then the body quickly makes immunity. With this, the body quickly prepares protection. According to the Xinhua news agency, this discovery can improve the vaccine’s strategy and may be needed in future. This research has been conducted by the Garvan Institute of Australia and Kirbi Institute (University of New South Wales).

What was found in research?

Research published in the journal ‘Cell’ found that when both doses are given on the same side, the cells fighting the diseases of the body (which are in the nearby lymph nodes) are already prepared. By giving the second dose there, these cells become active immediately and make strong antibodies.

Researchers first saw this effect in mice. Then he did a research on 30 people, who had a Phikar’s Kovid-19 vaccine. In this research, he found that people who had both the doses of the vaccine on the same side were rapidly and more protection, especially from different variants of Kovid-19 like delta and omikron.

If both have a vaccine on the side, there is no need to panic

Although four weeks later, the level of antibodies in both groups was almost equal, but those who dose on the same side were first protected, which matters a lot in the time of epidemic.
