Wasim Raja: Pakistan’s left -handed batsman Wasim Raja played 57 Tests and 54 international ODI matches. He died in 2006, when he suffered a heart attack while playing with Surrey Cricket Club in England County. His brother is former cricketer Rameez Raja, who is currently seen commenting and was also the chairman of PCB from 2021-22.

Philip Hughes: The death of Philip Hughes shook the entire cricket world, how he died after a ball. During the Sheffield Shield match in November 2014, a fast ball of Sean Abbott was on his neck. Hughes fell on the ground and was immediately rushed to the hospital. It turned out that his skull has been fractured and internal bleeding is also happening. He died 2 days later.

English club cricketer Richard Beomont took five wickets against Estwood Bank Cricket Club on 5 August 2012. But after this, Beomont got a heart attack and fell on the ground. He was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where he was declared dead.

Raman Lamba: 4 Tests between 1986-89, Raman Lamba, who represented the Indian team in 32 ODIs, suffered a head injury while fielding at a silly-point during a club match in Dhaka. He did not wear a helmet. He died after staying in a coma for 3 days.

Darryn Randall: A similar incident occurred with South African wicket -keeper batsman Darin Randle, a year after Hugh’s death. On October 27, 2013, the ball missed in an attempt to hit the bridge shot and started going on his head. He died there.

IAN Folley: England domestic cricketer Ian Foli also died on the field. Foli hit the ball under the eye while batting for the Whiteheven Cricket Club in 1993. He was taken to the hospital for eye surgery. Foli suffered a heart attack during anesthesia.

Zulfiqar Bhatti: Pakistan’s club cricketer Zulfikar Bhatti died in December 2013 after a ball. He was just 22 years old. During a match, he missed in an attempt to play the bridge shot and the ball went to his chest. He was immediately taken to the hospital but was declared dead there.
