We are talking about the films ‘Jurm’ and ‘Haar Jeet’ released in the month of July in the 1990s. The story of both the films was the same, but the characters were different and the surprising thing was that both the films performed well at the box office.

What is the story of the film ‘Jurm’?
First let’s talk about crime. This film was released on July 13, 1990. In this, Vinod Khanna has played the role of Inspector Shekhar Verma. He loves his wife (Meenakshi Sheshadri) very much, but while helping Sangeeta Bijlani, who became a witness during a case, he falls in love with her. In the film, relationship after marriage is shown as a mistake. In the end, after a lot of emotional ups and downs, he again wins his wife’s trust and love. This film was directed by Mahesh Bhatt.

The story of ‘Har Jeet’ is also the same
The film ‘Haar Jeet’ was released two weeks later in the month of July itself, on 27th July. The name and characters of this film are different, but the story is quite similar. In this, Kabir Bedi, Madhavi and Farah Naz are shown in a love triangle. In the story, Kabir Bedi’s character gets into another relationship despite being married. The film shows the emotional conflict between two relationships in a simple manner.

The thing to note is that both these films are inspired by the story of the English film ‘Someone to Watch Over Me’. However, despite having similar stories, both the films got the love of the audience.
