In this report of Union Bank, it has been said that the increased prices of crude oil are directly promoting inflation. India imports oil for its own needs, hence the rise in the international market affects the prices of petrol, diesel and other essential commodities in the domestic market. This also increases the inflation rate. In such a situation, it will not be easy for the Reserve Bank of India to control interest rates. To keep inflation under control, RBI can increase the repo rate or postpone the rate cut. Which will have a direct impact on the EMI of the people taking the loan.
