Big news has come for lakhs of students across the country. If you want to do research, dream of becoming a professor in college or want to take admission in PhD, then now is your chance. National Testing Agency i.e. NTA has started the online application process for the Joint CSIR UGC-NET June 2026 examination.

Every year thousands of students studying science subjects wait for this examination. This examination decides which student will get Junior Research Fellowship i.e. JRF for research, who will be eligible to become an Assistant Professor and who will get admission in PhD in big universities of the country. After the notice issued by NTA, the enthusiasm among the students has increased. Many students have already started preparing so that they can give a new direction to their career through this examination.

Exam will be held in July

NTA has informed that this examination will be conducted on 17 and 18 July 2026. The examination will be completely in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The examination will be conducted in two shifts on both the days. Students have been advised to complete the application on time so that the problem of high traffic on the website can be avoided at the last moment.

Application process started

The online application process has started from 27 May 2026. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website. The last date for submission of applications has been fixed as 19 June 2026 at 11:50 pm. The last date for depositing the application fee has been kept as 20th June 2026.

If any mistake is made while filling the application form, there is no need to worry. NTA has also given students a chance to improve. The correction window for correction in the application form will be open from June 22 to June 23, 2026.

how to apply?

1. Candidates have to visit the official website csirnet.nta.nic.in.
2. Click on the link “Joint CSIR UGC-NET June 2026 Registration” given on the homepage and register with the help of email ID and mobile number.
3. After this, fill your personal and educational information correctly.
4. Photo and signature will have to be uploaded in the prescribed format.
5. Application fee can be deposited through debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI.
6. After checking all the information, submit the form and download the confirmation page.
