Simmons further said, “It is very important to gain momentum and remain positive in this tournament. The atmosphere of the team is positive after this win, but before that the attitude of the players was also good during the practice session.”

Sanju Samson was the hero of Chennai Super Kings’ victory against Delhi Capitals. Samson scored the first century of this season. He scored 115 runs in 56 balls while Ayush Mhatre also played an inning of 59 runs. Thanks to these two, Chennai scored 212 runs in 20 overs. After this, in bowling, Jamie Overton took four wickets for 18 runs.

Praising Samson, Simmons said, “I have had the privilege of working with MS Dhoni for many years. He is one of the calmest cricketers I have met. Sanju Samson is also like him. He looks at the game from the same perspective. I have never seen him restless.”
