MS Dhoni, IPL 2027: MS Dhoni did not play a single match of IPL 2026 for Chennai Super Kings. Due to injury, Dhoni was not available for the entire season. In fact, while talking about Dhoni, franchise CEO Kasi Vishwanathan said that we would like to keep him with the team forever, even if he is associated with the team in any capacity.

Speaking to Rev Sports, Kasi Vishwanathan said, “We would like to keep him at CSK forever in any capacity – be it as a player, coach or mentor. Whatever happens, it will depend on what he decides. Every decision is up to him.”

Dhoni came for the last match on home ground

Although Dhoni did not come to the ground with the team for the entire season, but he reached the stadium with the team for the last home match of Chennai. Mahi did not play the match, but definitely performed the rituals of the last home match with the team. Chennai played its last home ground match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 18 May.
