CSK’s top three batsmen Sanju Samson, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ayush Mhatre together could score only 17 runs. When Sarfaraz came to bat, CSK’s score was 30 runs at the loss of 3 wickets. From here Sarfaraz took the team’s score to 77 runs without losing any wicket. During this period he faced only 19 balls. This was Sarfaraz’s second IPL half-century against RCB. Earlier, he had scored his first half-century for Punjab Kings on 6 April 2019. This right-handed batsman completed his second half-century after 2,556 days on 5 April 2026. With this, Sarfaraz has come second in the list of batsmen who took the most time between two IPL half-centuries.
