CTET 2026 Registration: There is great news for the youth who have been dreaming of becoming teachers for a long time. Central Board of Secondary Education i.e. CBSE has started the application process for CTET September 2026 examination. Now candidates can apply online by visiting the official website ctet.nic.in.

This time the application process has started from 11th May 2026 and the last date for filling the form has been fixed as 10th June 2026. According to the report, the exam will be conducted on 6 September 2026. Also, if needed, the examination can be conducted on September 5, 2026 also. No exact information has been given yet.

Application date and important information

Online applications for CTET September 2026 have started from 11 May 2026. In which candidates can apply till 10 June 2026 at 11:59 pm. The last date for depositing fees has also been kept as June 10, 2026. Also, the correction window will be open from June 15 to June 18, 2026 to correct mistakes in the application form. Apart from this, the admit card of the exam will be issued two days before the exam. The result is likely to be released by the end of October 2026. This time a major change has also been made that candidates will not be able to choose the examination city of their choice. This examination center will be decided by the board itself.

Who can give CTET exam

CTET exam is conducted in two papers. Paper-1 is for those candidates who want to teach classes 1 to 5. On the other hand, there is Paper-2, it is for those who want to become teachers of class 6 to 8. Also, for Paper-1, the candidate must have D.El.Ed with at least 50 percent marks in 12th. Whereas for Paper-2, graduation and B.Ed degree is definitely required. Apart from this, the minimum age of the applying candidate should be 17 years. The good thing is that no maximum age limit has been fixed for this examination. CTET exam will be conducted in offline mode i.e. pen and paper mode. Finally, after successful submission of the form, candidates will have to take a print out of the confirmation page and keep it safe with them. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has given big information for lakhs of candidates appearing in the CTET February 2026 examination. CBSE has released the admit card for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026. Candidates who have applied for this examination can now download their admit card by visiting the official website. Admit card is an essential document to appear in the CTET exam, without it no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination centre.

CTET February 2026 admit card has been released by CBSE through online medium. Candidates can visit the official website of CTET and download their admit card with the help of application number, date of birth and security pin. The board has clearly said that the admit card will not be sent by post or any other means. Therefore, all the candidates should download their admit card in time and keep one or two copies of it printed.

CTET exam will be held on 7th and 8th February

CBSE CTET 2026 exam will be conducted on 7 and 8 February 2026. This examination will be held in two days and in two shifts. Paper-1 and Paper-2 will be conducted on both the first day and second day. Paper-1 will be conducted for candidates aspiring to become primary teachers, while Paper-2 will be conducted for candidates preparing to become upper primary teachers.

The time of examination has been decided in advance. Paper-1 will be conducted in the morning shift and Paper-2 will be conducted in the afternoon shift. The duration of each paper will be two and a half hours i.e. 2 hours 30 minutes.

There will be examination centers in 140 cities across the country.

CTET 2026 exam will be conducted in 140 cities across the country. Candidates have been allotted examination cities as per their application. Earlier, CBSE had released the city intimation slip on 23 January 2026, through which the candidates had already got the information in which city their examination would be held. This made it easier for the candidates to plan their travel and stay.

Advice to reach the examination center on time

CBSE has advised the candidates to reach the examination center at least one hour before the commencement of the examination. Identity will be checked before entry at the examination centre. For this, it will be mandatory for the candidates to bring their admit card and an original identity card like Aadhar Card, Voter ID or Passport. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination without valid documents.

Candidates are advised to check all the information given in their admit card carefully. The name, roll number, exam date, time, address of the exam center and photograph of the candidate should be clearly printed in it. Exam city slip is issued before the admit card, so that candidates can get information about their exam city in time. It is expected that the exam city slip of CTET 2026 can be released in the last week of January or beginning of February.

Candidates are advised not to panic about the admit card. According to the trend of last years, CBSE releases the admit card only at the last moment. Therefore, keep checking the official website regularly, prepare for the journey as soon as the exam city slip arrives and keep the admit card and valid ID with you on the day of the exam.
