CTET 2026 Registration: There is great news for the youth who have been dreaming of becoming teachers for a long time. Central Board of Secondary Education i.e. CBSE has started the application process for CTET September 2026 examination. Now candidates can apply online by visiting the official website ctet.nic.in.

This time the application process has started from 11th May 2026 and the last date for filling the form has been fixed as 10th June 2026. According to the report, the exam will be conducted on 6 September 2026. Also, if needed, the examination can be conducted on September 5, 2026 also. No exact information has been given yet.

Application date and important information

Online applications for CTET September 2026 have started from 11 May 2026. In which candidates can apply till 10 June 2026 at 11:59 pm. The last date for depositing fees has also been kept as June 10, 2026. Also, the correction window will be open from June 15 to June 18, 2026 to correct mistakes in the application form. Apart from this, the admit card of the exam will be issued two days before the exam. The result is likely to be released by the end of October 2026. This time a major change has also been made that candidates will not be able to choose the examination city of their choice. This examination center will be decided by the board itself.

Who can give CTET exam

CTET exam is conducted in two papers. Paper-1 is for those candidates who want to teach classes 1 to 5. On the other hand, there is Paper-2, it is for those who want to become teachers of class 6 to 8. Also, for Paper-1, the candidate must have D.El.Ed with at least 50 percent marks in 12th. Whereas for Paper-2, graduation and B.Ed degree is definitely required. Apart from this, the minimum age of the applying candidate should be 17 years. The good thing is that no maximum age limit has been fixed for this examination. CTET exam will be conducted in offline mode i.e. pen and paper mode. Many candidates are confused about negative marking, in such a situation, let us tell you that there is no negative marking in CTET exam, that is, your marks will not be deducted for giving wrong answers.

Candidates can apply by visiting the official website of CTET, ctet.nic.in. For this, first of all you will have to go to the website and register. After this you will have to fill your personal and educational information in the application form. Besides, candidates will also have to upload the scanned copy of their photo and signature. Then the application fee will have to be deposited through online medium. Finally, after successful submission of the form, candidates will have to take a print out of the confirmation page and keep it safe with them. CBSE has advised the candidates to fill all the information carefully while applying so that they do not face any problem later.
