Central Govt on Expenses: The effects of the ongoing tension in the Middle East are being seen across the world. Recently, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also appealed to the people to consume less oil and not buy gold and silver. After which the government has now become very strict. The government has issued a decree that public sector banks and financial institutions will now have to curb their expenses.

Government is controlling expenses
In fact, considering the circumstances of the country, the government is now trying to control the expenses in its departments also. Due to this, the Department of Finance has issued strict instructions for the country’s government banks, regional rural banks, government insurance companies and public sector financial institutions. Under these instructions, it will now be necessary to reduce travel expenses and adopt electric vehicles.

Meetings will be held through video conferencing
It has also been said in the instructions given by the government that now all meetings, reviews, consultations and presentations in these institutions will be held through video conferencing. Face-to-face meetings will be allowed only in those cases where it is absolutely necessary. Apart from this, any sector in which foreign travel is necessary will have to be done at less expense.

These rules will apply at these places
These instructions given by the government will be applicable to the country’s public sector banks i.e. PSBs, regional rural banks i.e. RRBs, government insurance companies i.e. PSICs and public sector financial institutions i.e. PSFIs. Let us tell you that the state governments have strictly accepted PM Modi’s appeal for work from home. In Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi, the government has given instructions to work from home two days a week. These instructions will be applicable for those companies where visiting will not be mandatory.
