LPG Cylinder Price Today on 16th April: The conflict between America and Iran is increasing. On one hand, the US Army has started a naval siege of Iran’s ports and coastal areas. On the other hand, while retaliating against this, Iran has also threatened to target the ports of the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. This has deepened the global energy crisis, leading to a rise in crude oil prices.

India sources almost half of its crude oil requirements, 40 percent gas and about 85–90 percent LPG from these places. In such a situation, this action of America and Iran has affected India also. Meanwhile, India has met the shortage of crude oil by importing supplies from other places, while the availability of LPG has been adversely affected. In view of this, the government has given priority to the supply of LPG to domestic consumers by cutting the supply to commercial users like hotels and restaurants.

‘Jag Vikram’ reached Gujarat

Here, amidst tension between America and Iran, India’s LPG vessel ‘Jag Vikram’ has reached Kandla Port in Gujarat. This ship is crammed with 20,400 LPG. It has become the first Indian ship to cross the Strait of Hormuz after the ceasefire between Iran and America. With its reaching India, the supply of LPG in the country will become stronger. This is the ninth ship to pass through Hormuz since the beginning of March. Indian officials have said that 15 ships are still stranded.
