PM Modi is currently on a tour of three countries. His tour begins with Cyprus. PM reached Cyprus on the previous day. Here he was welcomed by President Nicos himself. The PM has also shared pictures of this tour on social media. This is PM Modi’s first foreign trip after Operation Sindoor. Here Modi has been awarded his highest civilian award by Cyprus. This visit of PM is also believed to be important because the Turkas helped Pakistan during India-Pakistan tension, while things do not go well between Cyprus and Turki. During the PM’s Cyprus tour, the whole world is eyeing him.

PM Modi reached buffer zone

During this visit, PM Modi also reached the place with President Nicos from where the border of Turki and Cyprus is adjacent. When the PM stood with the President at the center of Cyprus’s capital Nikoshia, a flag in his background was waving the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). This is the area that the Turkas forcibly captured in the year 1974 and the international community still does not recognize it. There is a green line buffer zone in the middle of this place, where PM Modi has reached. Let us know what this green line buffer zone is and why it is so special.

What is buffer zone

The Cyprus Green Line Buffer Zone is also known as the United Nations Buffer Zone. It is a separate region on the island of Cyprus. This place separates northern and southern Cyprus. The region was built after the 1974 Turki invasion. It was controlled by the United Nations Peace Army. It is 180 km long and some meters wide in some areas. At the same time, it is a few kilometers wide in some areas. The buffer zone was established as a separate region between the two regions.

This place is banned for common people

The buffer zone is not for the general public. This is banned for the general public and no one is allowed to go there. Here only the United Nations personnel and the special permission received are allowed to go. There is Abandand house, cars and even an airport at this place, which is not operational since the 1974 struggle. The buffer zone plays an important role in maintaining peace and security in Cyprus.

PM modi in canada for g7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Calgary, Canada. Here he will attend the 51st G7 summit. This tour is happening at a time when tension between Iran and Israel is increasing in the world. Earlier, the Prime Minister completed the visit to Cyprus, where he interacted in detail with Cyprus President Nicos Christodulides. There was a discussion on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Ministry of External Affairs described the visit as “memorable” on the social media platform X and PM Modi also thanked the President of Cyprus and the people there for the warm and brilliant hosting of the people there. Prime Minister Modi is on a tour of three days of four days, including Cyprus, Canada and Croatia. After the G7 Summit, his next stop will be Croatia.

G7 Summit to be held in Kananaskis, Alberta province
This time the G7 summit is being held in Kananaskis, Alberta province, Canada. This event is being held at a time when the world has openly landed in the battlefield against each other. This meeting is considered to be very important in the backdrop of the increasing confrontation between Israel and Iran and the backdrop of the Russia-Ukraine War.

Possibility of bilateral conversation with Canadian PM
Bilateral meetings are scheduled from Prime Minister Modi’s many other G7 and leaders of invited countries including Prime Minister Modi’s Prime Minister Mark Carney. Carney inviting Modi to the G7 summit is an indication that the new government of Canada intends to improve relations with India, which became very stressful after the murder of Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

PM Modi will not be able to meet Trump?
US President Donald Trump will leave the summit in the middle and return to America. The White House said on Tuesday morning that Trump has taken this decision due to tension in the middle East. White House Press Secretary Caroline Lewitt said on Monday that US President Donald Trump would leave the G-7 summit on Monday night a day before due to increasing tension in the Middle East. In such a situation, the chances of Trump’s meeting with PM Modi are very less.

Global issues will be discussed
The Ministry of External Affairs had earlier informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would discuss important global issues like energy security, technology and innovation, AI and energy coordination and quantum technology with heads of G7 countries, invited countries and international organizations.

PM Modi’s address at G7 summit
Prime Minister Modi will take part in the G7 Outrich Summit to be held on Tuesday afternoon and will share his views there. The focus of this summit will be on three major topics:

Security of communities worldwide

Energy security and digital change intensifying

Make the future partnerships secure

PM Modi first foreign tour after Operation Sindoor
This summit is the first multilateral presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which is taking place after the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’, the anti -terrorism campaign in Pakistan in May.

Leaders of Ukraine and Mexico will also be involved
Ukraine President Volodimir Zelanski will also attend this summit as guest leaders. Ukraine and Mexico are also not members of G-7, but the President of the two countries have been invited to participate in the summit this time.

PM Modi in Cyprus: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has concluded Cyprus’s important visit by reaching the D-Militrid zone adjacent to Türkiye. For the last 51 years, Turkey has captured a large part of Cyprus. In such a situation, the United Nations (UN) has maintained a buffer zone between the two countries so that military conflict can be prevented.

PM Modi visited the D-Militrid zone on Monday (June 16) with Cyprus President Nicos Christodoulides, also known as the UN Protected Area (Green Line).

PM Modi supported Cyprus’s sovereignty and regional integrity

PM Modi discussed the dispute with Türkiye with President Nicos here and this buffer zone. President Nicos showed PM Modi to Turkey -occupied Cyprus from this buffer zone.

PM Modi expressed his support for Cyprus’ sovereignty and regional integrity in a delegation level discussion with President Nicos even before reaching the Green Line. This was mentioned in the shared statement of the two countries. At the same time, he called upon the Cyprus dispute settle under the Charter of the United Nations.

Cyprus was divided into two parts in 1974

Greek and Ottoman minority live in Cyprus. There has been a long racial dispute between the two communities. In 1974, fighters associated with the Greek community attacked the island after which Turkey attacked the island by pretending to protect the people of the Ottoman community. After this attack, Cyprus was divided into two parts, one of which has a Greek-sprus government and the other has the control of the Turk-Spris residents.

India will not forgive Inderbul to support Pakistan

No country in the world including the United Nations recognizes this region of Türkiye. In such a situation, the visit of PM Modi’s buffer zone becomes very important. India is never going to forgive Instibul for internationalization of the first Kashmir issue and now the way Turkey supported Pakistan during Operation Sindoor.

Lieutenant General of Indian Army was the first commander of UN Peace Keeping Force in Cyprus

On the orders of the United Nations, the UN Peacekeeping Force is deployed in the D-Militreage Zone. The special thing is that after a military conflict with Türkiye, the first commander of this Peace Keeping Force was made Lieutenant General Dewan Prem Chand of the Indian Army. The next month i.e. on July 20, 51 years of Turkish attack are being completed.

After retirement, Indian Army chief General KS Thimaiya gave his services

Even before becoming a buffer zone i.e. UN Protected Area, India’s top military commanders have served for the peace of Cyprus. India’s famous Army Chief General K.K. S. Thimiah (1957–61), even after retirement, served as the commander of the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus. He died in 1965 during his deployment in Cyprus. This is the reason why Cyprus released a postal stamp in the memory of General Thimaiya in the year 1966.

On this issue, India has been continuously supporting the United Nations resolutions and the solution under international law. India has played a big role in the United Nations Peace Defense Force (UNFICYP) in Cyprus.

Cyprus Highest Honor to PM Modi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been awarded the highest civilian honor of Cyprus. Cyprus President Nicos Christodolidase awarded him the ‘Grand Cross of the Order of Makaros III’, which is the biggest honor of the country. This honor has been given for strengthening bilateral relations and his contribution to global leadership.

PM Modi said- this is not mine, honor of the whole Indians
Regarding the highest honor of Cyprus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “President, ‘Grand Cross of the Order of Makios III’, I express my heartfelt gratitude to your, Cyprus government and the people there. This honor is not only of Narendra Modi but of 140 crore Indians. Is to respect Bhavna. “

PM Modi further said, “I dedicate this award to strong friendly relations, shared values and mutual beliefs between India and Cyprus. On behalf of India, I accept this honor with humility and gratitude.

For the first time in two decades, an Indian Prime Minister’s visit to Cyprus
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a grand welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus. He has arrived on a two -day official visit on the invitation of Cyprus President Nicos Christodaulides. This tour is also special because it is the first Cyprus visit of an Indian Prime Minister in the last twenty years. During this time, many important issues are to be discussed between PM Modi and President Christodaulids, which is expected to strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two countries.

India’s strategic message to Türkiye
This visit of Prime Minister Modi is also considered very important from strategic point of view. Türkiye has been occupied by the northern part of Cyprus for a long time and there has been tension between the two countries since 1974. Turkey is also alleged to have not only supported Pakistan during ‘Operation Sindoor’, but also provided drones for use against India. In such a situation, this visit of PM Modi is seen as giving a clear diplomatic message to Turkey that India is serious about its strategic interests and now the Mediterranean countries also hold a prominent place in the realm of its foreign policy.

PM Modi Cyprus Visit: What new geo-political equations are being formed in the Mediterranean Sea region due to the conflict between India-Pakistan and now Iran-Israel. This question is because Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also going to Cyprus on two day-to-day journey on 15-16 June while going to the G-7 summit. Cyprus has a figure of thirty -six from Türkiye (Turki). In such a situation, it is clear that India is now going to set up a wisdom of Türkiye through Cyprus. At the same time, Türkiye, which is the ultimate-friend of Pakistan and is notorious for plotting against India.

The special thing is that soon after attacking Iran on Friday (June 13), Israel sent all its passenger aircraft to Cyprus so that Iran’s retaliation would not be damaged by civil aviation. Similarly, Israel has sent its additional fighter jets to Greece to protect Iran’s attacks. In recent years, India has had close relations with Greece. During Operation Sindoor, Greece was one of the countries that supported India’s action.

India strongly used Israeli drones in Operation Sindoor

India and Israel’s close relations are not hidden from the world. During Operation Sindoor, India used the Israeli drone against Pakistan tremendously. Prime Minister Modi’s name was at the top of the global leaders of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after attacking Iran.

Cyprus supports India on the issue of Kashmir and terrorism

Cyprus has always stood with India on the issue of terrorism and Kashmir. In 1998, when India conducted a nuclear test in Pokhran, Cyprus was still standing with India. India has also been in favor of solving the Cyprus problem under the provisions of the United Nations and under international law. While Türkiye stands with Pakistan, India has emphasized on strengthening its relations with Cyprus.

The Turki and Cyprus dispute is decades old

Cyprus is a Mediterranean island south of Turkas, west of Syria and northwest of Israel. Greek and Ottoman minority live in Cyprus. There has been a long racial dispute between the two communities. In 1974, fighters associated with the Greek community attacked the island, after which Turkey attacked the island by pretending to protect the people of the Ottoman community. After this attack, Cyprus was divided into two parts after the incident, one of which has a Greek-sprus government and the other has control of the Ottoman-Syprus.

International recognized by Greek-sprus, but Ottoman-Ceresprass self-proclaimed nation

The Cyprus Republic of Greek-Syprus regime is recognized internationally. At the same time, the Ottoman Cyprus residents have given their area a self -proclaimed nation status, which only accepts the Turkas. The part of Cyprus and Turkish -occupied Cyprus separates a buffer zone with the United Nations patrolling.

Erdogan celebrated with Shahbaz after the Pahalgam attack

On the day when the terrorists killed Indian tourists on 22 April, Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif was present in the Turki. After the attack, where most of the countries of the world like America, Russia, France, Britain were condemning the terrorist attack, Shahbaz and Erdogan were seen smiling. Ankara, the capital of Türkiye, was hugging laughter. It seemed that the joy of killing 26 tourists was being celebrated. The picture of Erdogan and Shahbaz was fiercely criticized.

Turki had delivered drone consignment after Pahalgam massacre

Immediately after the Pahalgam attack, Pakistan filled a cargo ship and ordered a large consignment of drone from Turki. The Turkas and Chinese drones were included in which Pakistan launched the Bunyan Al Masroor against Operation Sindoor.

On 27 April, the Turki military aircraft C-130 Hercules also went to Pakistan. Between 7-10 May, Pakistan launched about one thousand drones on India. But everyone was killed by India’s air defense. Apart from this, after increasing tension in India and Pakistan, the Turki warship reached Karachi port on May 2.

Turki’s Bycott in India

Due to support to Pakistan during the drone attack, India has broken the Turki’s Aviation-Service Company Celebrate. Boycott has started as a tourist-destination of Turki in India. Many travel agencies have stopped booking for Turki. In such a situation, PM Modi’s plan to go to Cyprus is being considered as a big diplomatic step of India.
