India celebrates 26 July every year as Kargil Vijay Day. This day is celebrated in memory of the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives while fighting Pakistan in 1999. This was not just a war, but an example of India’s courage, unity and sacrifice. In 1999, Pakistan’s army and terrorists together captured the high hills of Kargil. The Indian Army started operation victory to defeat him.

The fight lasted for about 60 days, in which India finally won on 26 July 1999 and hoisted the tricolor on every peak. 527 Indian soldiers were martyred in this war. As soon as this day comes, a wave of patriotism runs in the hearts of every Indian and the sacrifices of the martyrs start coming in front of the eyes. In such a situation, let us know that the most soldiers of which state were martyred in the Kargil war.

Which state soldiers were martyred the most in the Kargil war?

In the Kargil war, 527 Indian soldiers were martyred, including 75 soldiers from Uttarakhand. This number is the highest compared to any state. This small state lost his brave sons from every district, and their martyrdom can never be forgotten. The special thing is that 15 percent of the population of Uttarakhand is of ex -servicemen. The soldiers of Garhwal Rifles and Kumaon Regiment of Uttarakhand set an example of valor in this war. 47 soldiers of Garhwal Rifles alone were martyred, out of which 41 were from Uttarakhand. 16 soldiers of Kumaon Regiment were also martyred.

After Uttarakhand, the highest martyrdom state was Himachal Pradesh, whose 52 soldiers were martyred in this war, Captain Vikram Batra who got posthumously Paramveer Chakra and Rifleman Sanjay Kumar got him as Paramveer Chakra while alive was from Himachal.

India’s victory, but what is the big price

In this war, India spent around 5,000 to 10,000 crores. Air Force operation alone took Rs 2000 crore. But the biggest price was the martyrdom of our 527 brave soldiers. At the same time, Pakistan also suffered heavy losses, about 3000 of its soldiers were killed, although Pakistan has told about only 357 deaths.

Pakistan Damage: After the consensus between India and Pakistan on the ceasefire, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh in the Special Briefing of the Ministry of Defense termed the claims spread by Pakistan as false, stating that Pakistan has completely destroyed our S-400 missile base, BrahMos installation. He said that Pakistan has suffered a lot due to collision with India.

Colonel Sophia Qureshi opened Pakistan’s poll

After ‘Operation Sindoor’, Pakistan stunned Pakistan with drones in many parts of India from Jammu and Kashmir to Punjab. India had already thwarted Pakistan’s efforts for 26 attacks. However, after this, India also started retaliating, targeting Pakistani military bases.

Colonel Sophia Qureshi of the Indian Army revealed the attacks made by creating a list of radar sites at airbase, Pasroor and Sialkot aviation locations in Rafiki, Murid, Chalala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur and Chunion.

Colonel Qureshi said in a press conference held on the morning of May 10, “The Indian armed forces retaliated after Pakistan targeted the residential areas in the India’s border and targeted technical establishments, command and control centers, radar sites and weapons reserves in Pakistan.”

Pakistan’s military bases at Rafiki, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur and Chunion were targeted through air launch, accurate ammunition and fighter jets. The radar site in Pasroor and the aviation base at Sialkot were also targeted with accurate ammunition.

Pakistan suffered a lot in attack

Colonel Sophia also said that Pakistan airports in Scardu, Bholi, Sargodha and Jacobabad have suffered heavy losses. Pakistan’s air defense system and radar system have been neutralized. His airspace has been made unstable. Pakistan’s command and control, logistic installation and military infrastructure on LoC have also suffered heavy losses.

With this, his aggressive and defensive abilities have become completely crippled. Nine terrorist structures were destroyed under Operation Sindoor of 7 May. These included the headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen. Jaish-e-Mohammed in Bahawalpur, Markaj Subhan Allah, Sarjal in Tehra Kalan, Marakaj Abbas in Kotli and Syedna Bilal camp in Muzaffarabad were transformed into wrecks.

Pakistan was begged for help

According to the Reuters report, on Thursday, Pakistan appealed to international institutions to give more loans, citing the damage caused by India. A tweet was made on the X page of Pakistan’s Economic Affairs Department, which said- The Government of Pakistan appeals to international partners to give more loans after the enemy caused heavy damage. We urge international partners to help reduce stress amid growing wars and declining shares. However, later, the ministry shunned this post and said that the account was hacked.

Pakistan trembled due to India’s attack

According to ANI report quoting sources, a Pakistani Air Force aircraft was killed in Pathankot. According to the NDTV report, the Indian SAM (Surface-to-air missile) killed one of the F-16 supersonic fighter aircraft of Pakistan near Sargodha Air Base. In addition, India is believed to have killed the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft of Islamabad, which is a significant monitoring jet for the air war.

The report of India Today stated that AWACS was targeted in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Apart from this, India’s air defense system has killed two JF-17 aircraft of Pakistan. Apart from heavy losses to Pakistan’s airbase and aircraft, its stock market has seen a decline of more than 9 % in the last few days due to cross -border tension.
