Iran on Israel and Usa: Iran’s Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that the recent attack on Syrian capital Damascus by Israel is not only an attack but a warning for the entire Islamic world. He called the attack on the “global dominance system agents and representatives”, which gives many important indications.

Iran committed to protect Syrian unity and sovereignty
Ghalibaf clarified that Iran has always supported the Syrian people and supported the regional integrity and unity of Syrian. He described the attack on Damascus as a well-planned strategy to destabilize the entire region, not just an incident.

Damascus will not last last- warning of conflict
Ghalibaf warned that now Islamic Umma (society) has understood that Damascus is not the last capital, which this Jewish rule is targeting. He said that if this fire is not stopped yet, it will spread in the entire area. Islamic governments and nations will have to unite and stop the pet dog of America, before this fire spread to them. The intention of this rule is to unstable, disorient and fragrant Islamic countries, and expand their regional controls.

Appeal to Islamic countries
The Iranian president described the US and Israel’s alliance as fatal for Muslim countries. He said that the purpose of Israeli rule is to destabilize Muslim countries, weaken them and cut them into pieces. Therefore, all Islamic countries will have to unite against this attack.

Israel has tried to justify these attacks in the name of security of the Drain minority community.

Israel says that Syrian government forces have tortured people of Druj community in Syria. We have taken military action to answer that. Israel said, “We are committed to the security of the Druj community and will not allow any heat on them.”

5 lakhs in South Syria
The Druj community has a population of about 5 lakhs in South Syria. These people are considered an important minority community there. Israel has claimed that Jihadi forces are strengthening under the leadership of President Ahmed Al Shara in Syria and now they are targeting southern Syria.

Israel alleges that Sweda, which is a Druj -dominated city, has taken many attacks in recent times, in which many minorities were killed. On Monday, the Syrian Army also entered the area. Israel says that this attack was done only to ensure the safety of the liquor of this area.

Who is Druj? Different identity from Islam
The roots of the Druj community may have been associated with Islam, but this community considers itself different from Islam. In the 11th century, this community broke into existence by separating from the Shia Ismaili opinion. Druj is also considered a part of Abrahamic religions and he is also monotheistic, that is, believes in a God.

However, some of his beliefs are different than Islam. For example, Druj believes in rebirth and is considered to be fatalist. Their language is Arabic and they originally belong to the Arab community.

Homogeneous
The Druj community is mainly spread to Syria, Lebanon, Israel and Jordan. Apart from this, they also have small settlements abroad. There are about 5 lakh drums in Syria and Golan Heights alone. A large part of them is also inhabited in Israel, and that is why the Jewish community feels close to them. One of the big reasons for this is that Druj does not believe in Islamic beliefs and religiously appears close to the Jewish society.

In Druj religion, neither conversion is allowed nor inter -religious marriage. This is why it acts like a closed religious society. He has also participated in the Israeli army and he plays an active role in protecting there. However, in the eyes of Islamic extremists, they are always on target and often become victims of violence.

The Drej community is a special minority group that is of Arab origin, but does not believe in Islam or Judaism. He lived in Egypt in the 11th century. There is a mixture of Hindu, Buddhist and other beliefs in his religion. There are about 7 lakh drozers from the community in Syria. Their number in Israel is about 1.5 lakhs. Lebanon, Jordan also has a large number of people from the Drej community. There are about 29,000 druzes in the Golan Heights. Israeli drains citizens also serve in the Israeli army.

America strongly condemned violence
American Special Envoy Tom Barrack said that we strongly condemn the violence against citizens in Sweda. All sides should retreat and join meaningful conversations. The US has clarified that the safety of citizens and minorities should be ensured. Crisis should be held accountable. The ceasefire should be implemented soon.

Meeting will be held in UNSC
After the Israeli attack on Syria, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will hold a meeting on Thursday (17 July 2025) for an emergency session on Israeli attacks on Syria. According to the report of the Anadolu news agency, the meeting has been requested by the United Nations Mission of Syria. This has been supported by the current UNSC member Algeria. According to Reuters, Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Dannon has called for UNSC to condemn the Syrian government to condemn the barbaric crimes committed against innocent civilians on Syrian soil. He further said that Israel will continue to take strong action against any terrorist threat anywhere and at any time on its borders.
