Now under the Chief Minister’s Group Marriage Scheme, the government is giving financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh on the wedding of a daughter. Earlier, this scheme used to get Rs 51,000, but the Yogi Adityanath government has increased it to almost double now. With this new system, every qualified daughter will get Rs 60,000 directly in her bank account, Rs 25,000 will be spent on the necessary wedding gifts and Rs 15,000 will be used in organizing mass marriage. The government says that this step has been taken for social equality and respectable marriage of daughters.

Who will be the character

Only those families can take advantage of this scheme, whose annual income is Rs 3 lakh or less. At the time of marriage, the age of the girl should be at least 18 years and the boy should be 21 years. This scheme is open to all classes. Scheduled Castes, Tribes, Backward Classes, General Classes and Minority communities can all avail this. The special thing is that widow or divorced women also come under the purview of this scheme. Interested families can apply online by visiting shadianudan.upsdc.gov.in. At the same time, those who do not have internet facility, they can fill the application form by going to the nearest public service center or block office. Along with the application, necessary documents like Aadhaar card, income certificate, bank passbook, wedding invitation letter are to be installed. After investigation, if the eligibility is found correct, the amount is sent directly to the girl’s account.
