Producer Vasu Bhagnani is in the news these days due to one of his statements. Vashu Bhagnani has targeted director David Dhawan and his son Varun Dhawan. He says that the story of the film ‘Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ is very similar to his film ‘Biwi No. 1’.

Vashu Bhagnani made many revelations in the recent press conference held in Mumbai. He said that the story of the film ‘Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’, which is Varun’s upcoming film, is very similar to his film ‘Biwi No. 1’.

Expressed displeasure over the use of the song ‘Chunari Chunari’
Apart from this, Vashu Bhagnani also expressed his displeasure over the use of the song ‘Chunari Chunari’ in Varun Dhawan’s upcoming film. He says that Ramesh Taurani and Tips cannot use this song without his permission. Vashu Bhagnani said that he was deeply hurt by the re-use of the song ‘Chunari Chunari’. He claimed that people associated with the music label are not ready to even meet him on this issue.

Vashu Bhagnani lost crores of rupees from ‘Coolie No. 1’
Vashu Bhagnani also spoke openly on the loss caused by David Dhawan’s film ‘Coolie No. 1’. He claimed that he had suffered a loss of about Rs 27 crore due to this film released in the year 2020. Vashu said, ‘I told David ji that I want to make ‘Biwi No. 1’. But I suffered huge losses in ‘Coolie No. 1’. I was a producer only in name, because David ji was handling the responsibility of the entire production and expenses. I had given around Rs 70 crore to David ji for this film, although he was not even worth that much.

Vashu Bhagnani further said, ‘It was the time of Covid and David ji had told me that whatever loss you have suffered, we will make up for it. Let’s start ‘Biwi No. 1’. After this we also worked on the film for about six months. But one day Rohit Dhawan told me that the script was not ready yet, so I did not hurry and thought let’s make the film comfortably.

Varun did not ask about the situation
He said, ‘I suffered a loss of Rs 27 crore in ‘Coolie No. 1′, but Varun never even asked how much loss uncle suffered and who would compensate it.’

David Dhawan also narrated an interesting anecdote related to the shooting of the film Partner. He told that Govinda often used to come to the set fully prepared for his scene. Once there was a four-page long scene, which Govinda read carefully and said that he should be allowed to do the scene first.

According to David Dhawan, Govinda did that entire scene brilliantly in just one take. During that time, he also did many types of moves, which everyone was surprised to see. Later Govinda jokingly said that now you can edit this scene as per your wish. David Dhawan praised him highly and said that Govinda is really an amazing actor.
