Sheikh Hasina is living in India
Sheikh Hasina left Bangladesh and came to India after being ousted from power following the student movement in August 2024. She has been living in exile since her government fell following widespread student-led protests. The International Criminal Tribunal (ICT) is a domestic war crimes court of Bangladesh. On November 17 last year, it had convicted Sheikh Hasina and sentenced her to death, terming the action taken against the student-led protests in 2024 as against humanity.
