At least 12 people have died and more than 30 have been injured in an explosion outside a court in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad. The terrorist organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) took responsibility for this suicide attack. Despite this, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has tried to put the blame on India for the attack that took place on Tuesday (November 11, 2025).

According to Pakistan’s government news agency APP, Shahbaz Sharif condemned the attackers and called them terrorist agents supported by India. Sharif said, ‘These attacks are a part of terrorism sponsored by India, whose objective is to destabilize Pakistan.’ However, India has many times rejected such claims of Pakistan outright.

Sharif did not show any evidence

Shahbaz Sharif also claimed without showing any evidence that a network operating from Afghanistan’s soil was also responsible for the attack on children in Wana. He was referring to the attack that took place outside the Cadet College in Wana area of ​​Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bordering Afghanistan on Monday (November 10, 2025). Sharif blamed India for this attack and another attack on a cadet college near the Afghanistan border earlier in the day.

Addressing the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference held in Islamabad, Sharif said, ‘Afghanistan should understand that lasting peace is possible only if it controls TTP and other terrorist organizations operating from its soil.’

A post was made by the Government of Pakistan on social media platform X. The post claimed, ‘The suicide attack in Islamabad on Tuesday (November 11, 2025) came from Afghanistan and India’s support was also involved in this attack.’

According to APP, PM Sharif said, ‘No matter how much we condemn these attacks being carried out under the protection of India from the soil of Afghanistan, it is less. Such attacks cannot weaken Pakistan’s resolve to completely eliminate terrorism.

Pakistani President condemned the attack

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the blast, which took place near the District Judicial Complex, as a suicide attack. Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mosin Naqvi said that the explosion occurred at 12:39 pm (07:39 GMT) and confirmed that it was a suicide attack. While Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan is in a state of war and this bomb blast was a warning bell.
