The year 2026 is going to prove to be a turning point in terms of India’s military preparedness. The Army, Air Force and Navy together are going to get such modern weapons and platforms, which will make India stronger not only as a regional but also as a global military power. Make in India is no longer just a policy, but has become the basis of war capability.

Indian forces had made it clear during Operation Sindoor that they are capable of giving a quick and accurate response to India. After this, security agencies and military planners gave priority to long-term preparations keeping in mind the future war. The platforms to be received in 2026 are the result of this strategic thinking, which will prepare India for multi-domain warfare.

Tejas Mk-1A the homegrown backbone of the Indian skies

2026 is special for the Indian Air Force because the delivery of Tejas Mk-1A will pick up pace this year. This fighter jet developed by HAL is more lethal, smarter and more reliable than the earlier Tejas. According to IDRW report, Tejas Mk-1A with modern avionics, better radar and advanced weapons will play an important role in filling the squadron shortage of the Air Force. This will directly benefit India’s air dominance capability.

INS Aridman India’s nuclear guarantee in the sea

The beginning of 2026 is being considered historic for the Indian Navy. Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi had announced in the beginning of December that INS Aridman would soon be included in the Indian Navy. India’s nuclear triad will become stronger with the induction of INS Aridman. This nuclear ballistic missile submarine will be capable of carrying out retaliatory nuclear attacks while remaining out of sight of the enemy. This clearly means that India’s second-strike capability will now become more reliable, which can neutralize any nuclear threat.

C-295 will be a game-changer

India is scheduled to receive its first indigenously built C-295 transport aircraft in 2026. This aircraft prepared by Tata-Airbus in Vadodara is going to prove to be a milestone for the Indian aerospace industry. This aircraft will facilitate faster movement of troops, weapons and relief material in the border areas. This will strengthen both India’s military mobility and disaster-management capabilities.

Stealth Frigate Invisible force in the sea

Stealth frigates built under Project-17A will be inducted for the Indian Navy in 2026. These warships have the ability to avoid radar and are equipped with modern sensors and weapons. The deployment of these frigates will further strengthen India’s maritime hold in the Indian Ocean region, especially when China is continuously increasing its naval presence.

Akash NG and high-tech drones: Strong shield of the sky

India’s air defense capability will also get a major upgrade in 2026. Akash Next Generation Missile System will be able to stop enemy fighter jets, drones and missile attacks with more accuracy than before. With this, modern ISR drones will become the eyes and ears of the army in real-time surveillance and precise targeting.

From self-reliant India to the goal of 2047

The Indian Navy has already set a roadmap to become completely self-reliant by 2047. Dozens of warships are currently under construction in the country. These military capabilities to be acquired in 2026 are not only a response to the current threats, but also a clear message of India’s preparedness for future wars.

In recent times, tension is clearly visible in the relations between India and Bangladesh. India has expressed concern after the incident of mob lynching of a minority Hindu youth in Bangladesh. After the ouster of Sheikh Hasina government from power, diplomatic relations between the two countries were not the same as before. In such an environment, the question has started rising in the minds of people that if the situation worsens, which country will prove to be more powerful.

According to the report of Global Fire Power Index, there is a lot of disparity between India and Bangladesh in terms of military capability. India is ranked fourth in the world while Bangladesh is down 31 places to 35th. Because of this, India is counted among the largest military powers of Asia, whereas Bangladesh’s army is considered mainly limited to regional security and internal stability.

India gets a huge lead

Talking about air power, India has a huge advantage here. The Indian Air Force has a large number of modern fighter aircraft, multi-role fighter jets, 140 attack helicopters and advanced air defense systems. India has about 1,080 combat aircraft. In comparison, Bangladesh’s Air Force is much smaller. It has only 100 fighter planes and 100 helicopters. Let us tell you that the role of air power is very important in any modern war. India appears to be far ahead on this front.

India’s strength many times greater

Even in the ground forces, India’s strength is considered to be many times greater. The Indian Army has approximately 5,978 tanks, armored vehicles, artillery systems and a large number of trained soldiers. At the same time, Bangladesh Army cannot compete with India in terms of size and resources. In the event of a large-scale ground war, India has a clear advantage. Bangladesh has only 662 tanks.

Indian Navy is far ahead

If we talk about sea power, the difference is even more clear. The Indian Navy has 2 aircraft carriers, 20 submarines, including nuclear submarines, and dozens of state-of-the-art warships, which give India a strategic edge in the Indian Ocean region. Bangladesh Navy is mainly limited to coastal defense and its maritime capability is quite weak. This can be gauged from the fact that Bangladesh neither has any aircraft carrier nor any submarine. It has only 6 corvette warships, which are mainly limited to coastal security.

Huge difference in defense budget

Defense budget is also a big measure to understand the military strength of both the countries. India invests heavily in defense every year, due to which new technology, weapons and military research keeps getting strengthened. India’s defense budget is 50 times more than that of Bangladesh, due to which India is able to continuously invest in modern weapons, technology and research. According to PIB report, India’s defense budget is Rs 6.81 lakh crore. In comparison, Bangladesh’s defense budget is $3.34 billion, due to which its military capabilities remain limited.

Pakistan has issued NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) for the second time in just five days. This means that Pakistan has banned flights in some parts of its airspace. According to intelligence sources, this step has been taken due to India’s ongoing Trishul 2025 military exercise. According to the report, this order will be in force from November 1 to November 30 and includes a large part of the southern and coastal areas of Pakistan.

This ban may be related to Pakistan Navy’s weapons testing or missile firing, which may take place near the Sonmiani Range of the Arabian Sea. Sources say that this step makes it clear that Pakistan is restless and alert about India’s increasing military exercises. He fears that India may prepare for some major action during its exercises near its southern air bases and naval bases.

Trishul 2025 India’s big joint military exercise

India’s Trishul 2025 is a major joint military exercise, in which the Army, Navy and Air Force are participating. This exercise is going on in the western border and Arabian Sea. Its purpose is to show the united strength of the army, its ability to take rapid action and its hold on maritime areas.

A senior intelligence officer said that Pakistan’s two consecutive NOTAMs show that it is both scared and wants to exercise caution. Through this step, Pakistan wants to show that it is prepared and is monitoring its air and maritime areas.

Pakistani Army on high alert till the end of November

According to sources, Pakistan’s army has been kept on high alert till the end of November. Coastal surveillance has been increased and air and naval resources have been redeployed to keep an eye on Indian activities in the Arabian Sea.

Defense experts say that this incident clearly shows that India is openly showing its military confidence and preparedness, while Pakistan is still in a position to react only. This situation also highlights the changing balance of power in the region.

British royal navy f-35b: A state-of-the-art F-35B stealth fighter jet of Britain’s Royal Navy has been standing at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in Kerala for the last 7 days. This jet landed at around 9:30 pm on the night of 14 June. Initially, the reason for its landing was stated to be the lack of fuel.

The fighter aircraft was flying from a British aircraft carrier called HMS Prince of Wales and was involved in regular training flight outside India’s Air Defense Identification Region (ADIZ). Meanwhile, Jet was diverted towards Thiruvananthapuram, which was already identified as an emergency recovery airfield.

Indian Air Force provided immediate assistance
Indian Air Force (IAF) officials said that the aircraft made safe landing and all necessary cooperation including fuel was provided immediately. But before the flight, the hydraulic system failed in the jet, due to which he could not fly again.

Technical team sent
A technical team from the British aircraft carrier was deployed to repair the jet, but could not succeed in correcting technical faults. Now there is a preparation to send a large technical team from Britain to Kerala, which will do the necessary technical repair work in the aircraft.

Fighter jet can be returned by military cargo aircraft
If the solution of the problem is not possible at the repair site, then the authorities have indicated that this high -technical fighter jet can be taken back through military cargo aircraft. This process will depend on the status and technical evaluation of the aircraft.

Process of technical approval and cooperation continues
Thiruvananthapuram Airport officials had already confirmed that there has been a technical flaw since landing in the aircraft. At present, Indian officials are waiting for the formal approval to fill additional fuel, so that the aircraft can be prepared for flight when the repair work is completed.

Questions raised on strategic and technical coordination
The incident of this advanced jet getting into an emergency on Indian earth and then stuck for a long time due to technical reasons has given rise to many important questions related to security cooperation, emergency management and military coordination between the two countries. However, defense officers of India and Britain are active in handling this sensitive situation together.
