The case of Ankita Bhandari murder case has once again heated up in Uttarakhand. Due to this, the problems of former MLA Suresh Rathore and Urmila Sanawar have increased in the audio-video case viral on social media. FIRs have been lodged against both of them in different police stations in Dehradun and Haridwar districts.

It is alleged that both of them deliberately broadcast such audio-videos on social media, the purpose of which was to damage the image of BJP leader Dushyant Kumar Gautam.

Accusation of tarnishing the image of BJP leader

This complaint has been given in Bahadarabad police station of Haridwar by Dr. Dharmendra Kumar, an officer associated with Gautam Shiromani Guru Ravidas Shiv Mahapeeth and Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Akhara Bharat. It was told in the complaint that Dushyant Kumar is the international president of Gautam Mahapeeth and the national president of the Akhara. In this audio-video, an attempt has been made to tarnish Ankita Bhandari’s social and political image by using the murder case as its basis.

It has also been said in the complaint that such misleading and objectionable publicity has not only hurt the reputation of a public representative but has also hurt the sentiments of the Ravidasi community. This is expected to create confusion and tension in the society.

Aarti Gaur filed a case in Dehradun

On the other hand, in Dehradun, former District Panchayat member Aarti Gaur has also filed a complaint against former MLAs Suresh Rathore and Urmila Sanawar at Nehru Colony police station. Aarti Gaur alleges that false facts were deliberately spread through audio-videos circulated on social media and an attempt was made to tarnish her image as part of a political conspiracy.

According to police officials, FIRs have been registered in both the cases under relevant sections and investigation has been started. The authenticity, source and intention of broadcasting the viral audio-video is also being investigated. Further action will be taken on the basis of investigation.

A sensational case of misuse of social media platform Telegram has come to light from Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh. Brahmapuri police of Meerut district has registered a case against a person for sharing obscene and rape-related videos of girls on the online messaging platform ‘Telegram’. A police officer gave this information on Sunday.

According to the information, Dehradun Police of Uttarakhand had received information about a link related to objectionable video of girls through cyber portal. When the police expanded the scope of their investigation, its links were found to Meerut in UP. On the information of Uttarakhand Police, Meerut Police registered an FIR against the accused in the case.

Videos were shared through Telegram channel

According to the police, an account with the name “Lucifer” was being operated on Telegram, on which objectionable videos related to girls were being shared. Investigation revealed that this account was being run by Amit Jain, resident of Baghpat Gate of Brahmapuri police station area.

Accused is not in Meerut, mobile is also switched off

Superintendent of Police (City) Ayush Vikram Singh said that a complaint in this regard was lodged in Dehradun on September 7, 2025 and after investigation by Dehradun Police, information about the matter was given to Brahmapuri Police. He told that preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused is not currently living in Meerut and he has switched off his mobile phone.

Police and cyber police teams started searching for the accused

According to the officer, teams of Brahmapuri police station and Meerut cyber crime station are searching for the accused. Superintendent of Police, City Ayush Vikram Singh said that if during investigation the incident is found to be related to Meerut, then strict action will be taken against the accused.
