Delhi election results 2025: After the defeat of Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi, Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) leader Sanjay Raut made a shocking statement on Sunday (February 9, 2025). Sanjay Raut said, “Anna Hazare is very happy with the defeat of Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi assembly elections.”

Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) leader Sanjay Raut questioned Anna Hazare and said, “Why don’t they say anything on the corruption in the Modi government? He takes silence on the Modi government’s case, while he is happy with Kejriwal’s defeat.” Sanjay Raut said, “An industrialist is robbing the country, and his income is increasing. The same man is getting the benefit. How can it be tolerated in a democratic country.” He further said, “It is not right to take the silence of Anna Hazare even in such circumstances.”

Target about voter list
Talking to the media about the voter list, Sanjay Raut said, “Questions were being raised about the voter list in the Maharashtra assembly elections, in the same way AAP leaders raised questions in Delhi. Anna Hazare did not say anything on all these issues.” He further said, “Similar complaints came at the time of Haryana elections and there was a similar case during Bihar elections.”

Serious allegations against BJP

Sanjay Raut alleged that since the BJP came under power in 2014, elections are not being held in the country in a constitutional manner. The BJP is winning elections by misusing money power and power.

‘Kejriwal’s attention was on alcohol’

Anna Hazare said in a conversation with reporters after the results of the Delhi election were declared on Saturday, “Kejriwal did not pay attention to what I had told Arvind Kejriwal. All the attention was on alcohol after Arvind Kejriwal came to power.” He further said, “I have always been in favor of giving tickets to the person, whose social image is clean, which does not have any kind of allegations.”

Since the fierce victory in the Delhi assembly elections, there was speculation about all the names from the BJP regarding the next Chief Minister. Meanwhile, a big claim has been made by sources that the BJP has agreed in the name of Pravesh Verma. Sources claimed to be finalized on Monday (February 10, 2025).

The party president JP Nadda met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on 9 February amidst the exercise of the new Chief Minister’s selection with victory in the Delhi Assembly elections. Senior leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had discussed at the BJP headquarters on 8 February about the next CM of Delhi.

The BJP has gained an impressive edge between every region and most communities in the elections, so it has a detailed list of possible candidates for the post of Chief Minister. The party’s options are often seen as a big political message in choosing their Chief Ministers in various states, so political observers believe that Delhi will be no exception.

Experienced leaders of organization like Pravesh Verma, the leader of the Jat community, who defeated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal and experienced leaders of organization like Satish Upadhyay, Vijendra Gupta, Ashish Sood and Pawan Sharma are being discussed, but the history of BJP has been to carry forward the relatively less popular leaders.

A BJP leader said that the top leadership of the party can also consider any MLA, Sikh or woman with the background of Purvanchal on the basis of political equations. He said that in 2023, in view of the previous experience including Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and last year, there is very little scope for speculation on such cases. BJP chose Mohan Yadav in Madhya Pradesh, Bhajan Lal Sharma in Rajasthan and Mohan Charan Majhi in Odisha, which surprised most political analysts.

The BJP leader said, “You never know … National leadership can bring a completely new face, which is suitable for this post and is able to discharge duties as the Chief Minister of Delhi amidst the huge expectations of the people.” BJP’s Delhi unit president Virendra Sachdeva said that the decision on the Chief Minister will take the central leadership of the party. He said that all the newly elected MLAs are capable of discharging the responsibilities assigned to him.
