Two real brothers have been shot dead in Jaffrabad police station area of ​​Delhi. The incident took place on the intervening night of Monday-Tuesday (15-16 December), when the miscreants shot both the brothers and fled away. The deceased have been identified as Nadeem and Fazeel.

Fazeel’s brother was 33-year-old Nadeem, who was badly injured in the incident. The family members took him to JPC Hospital, but the doctors there declared him dead.

Police engaged in further investigation

The police officer says that a case has been registered at Jaffrabad Police Station under Section 103(1)/3(5) of BNS and Section 25/27 of the Arms Act and investigation has been started. Even though the accused took out the DVR, a small part of their car was recorded in a camera installed on the road. It was from here that the police got the first major clue. By zooming and enhancing the footage, the police reached the vehicle, then the number and location tracking led them to the accused.

Three still absconding, search continues

Delhi Police says that three members of the gang are still absconding. He has been identified and will soon be arrested. Police claim that the remaining gold and looted money will also be recovered soon.

Delhi’s Patiala House Court took cognizance of the charge sheet filed by the police in which self-styled godman Chaitanyanand Saraswati has been accused of sexually harassing 17 girl students of a private management institute. Judicial Magistrate Animesh Kumar had sought clarification from the police on a section, which was clarified by Additional Public Prosecutor Raghav Khurana present in the court. In this case registered on the complaint of 17 girl students of Shri Sharda Institute of Indian Management located in Vasant Kunj, Delhi, the police filed a charge sheet of 1077 pages. It includes statements of 43 witnesses.

The police have charged Chaitanyanand Saraswati, Bhavana Kapil, Shweta and Kajal with sexual harassment (BNS 75-2), outraging the modesty of a woman (BNS 79), threatening to give a false statement (BNS 232), threatening to cause grievous harm (BNS 351-3) and destroying evidence (BNS 238-B). There is a provision of maximum punishment of seven years in these sections. Another accused Harish Singh Kapkoti has been made an accused in two sections.

Chaitanyananda, originally from Odisha, was living in the ashram for the last 12 years. A case has been registered against him in the year 2009 also.
