On the inaugural day of the festival, many famous faces of the film industry were seen on the same stage. Dharmendra and Sharmila Tagore were saluted for their long and illustrious careers by giving them Lifetime Achievement Awards. Dharmendra’s honor was accepted by Hema Malini, which made the ceremony emotional. Many stars including Kriti Sanon, Vicky Kaushal, Rakul Preet Singh, Bhumi Pednekar and Rana Duggubati made the program more special with their presence.

This time, screening of about 125 films has been scheduled in the festival, which will be shown in different theaters as well as on open stages. The audience will get to experience diverse genres like fiction, non-fiction, documentary and animation on a single platform. This film festival has received about 2000 entries from more than 100 countries, which reflects its international identity. With the premiere show, advance booking for the opening weekend has crossed Rs 60 crore. Apart from this, according to the reports of Filmibeat, a special screening of the film will also be done during the International Film Festival Delhi (IFFD) in Delhi, which is going to run from March 25 to 31.

Ranveer Singh is once again returning as his character Hamza i.e. Jaskirat Singh Rangi. Apart from this R.
