DCP Shahdara Prashant Gautam said that he had received a call around 10.30 pm from a woman in which she said that her husband had been shot. The police team immediately reached the spot and saw that Joginder had been fired upon from behind. According to IANS, he told that Joginder is 50 years old and is a resident of Balbir Nagar. The DCP said that it is too early to say who the attackers were and what was the reason for the attack. The investigation is being done from many angles.

The police have increased security in the area and have also started questioning the people nearby. The investigation teams are trying to find out whether personal rivalry, criminal gang or some old dispute is involved in this incident. Doctors are keeping an eye on Joginder’s condition. Unknown people fired at a shopkeeper late Friday night in Nizamuddin area of New Delhi. The shopkeeper was seriously injured due to the bullet, who has been immediately admitted to the hospital.
