‘Metro Monday’ campaign started in Delhi on Monday. On the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta herself gave a big message to the people by using public transport. The aim of this initiative is to motivate people to use public means like metro and bus more, so that traffic can be reduced, fuel can be saved and pollution can also be controlled.

Reached Lieutenant Governor’s public residence on foot

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta walked from her official residence Chief Minister Jan Seva Sadan, Civil Lines to the Lieutenant Governor’s public residence on Monday (May 18) morning.
After reaching ITO station, the Chief Minister used the feeder bus to reach his office in Delhi Secretariat. During this time, Delhi government ministers Pravesh Verma and Ravindra Indraj were also present with him. The government says that if ministers and officials themselves use public transport, it will send a positive message to the common people too.

Part of ‘My India, My Contribution’ campaign

According to the Delhi government, the ‘Metro Monday’ initiative has been started under the ‘Mera Bharat, Mera Shravana’ campaign. Its objective is to make people aware about environmental protection, fuel saving and reducing traffic.

Delhi Bus Update: This news is especially for the women of Delhi. If you also travel by bus daily then this news is for you. Now the government of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has taken a very important decision for women. Where, keeping in mind the women of Delhi in the public transport system, ‘One Delhi’ smart card has now been made mandatory for women traveling free in buses. Actually, till now women used to travel for free in buses through ‘Pink Ticket’, but now they will have to carry One Delhi Smart Card with them.

After all, why did the Delhi government take this decision?

The only main objective of the Delhi government through this decision is to make the transport system completely transparent for the future. At the same time, women were facing many problems while traveling with pink tickets. According to the information, the Delhi government did not have any accurate data of how many women had traveled on which route and at what time. However, with the advent of smart cards, the government will continue to get accurate information related to women’s travel. Under this scheme, along with increasing the number of buses, a major improvement will be made in all the route management of the capital.

Train Latest News: Want confirmed lower berth in train? Follow these 5 magical tricks while booking tickets, travel will be easy

Know here what is ‘One Delhi’ smart card?

It is being said that this is a kind of multi-modal card which can be used very easily in both bus and metro. Apart from this, specially registered cards will also be issued to women by the bus administration for free ride. Women will have to take special care that as soon as they board the bus, they will have to immediately place their card on the machine. During this period, no money will be deducted from their account, but their entire journey will be recorded.

What benefit will women get from smart card?

There are many benefits of getting a smart card. Where, first of all, women will not have to buy tickets in long queues. Along with this, Delhi government will also keep getting information about which areas have the highest number of women, so that maximum number of buses can be operated in those areas. Apart from this, tracking the journey through the card will further increase the safety of women.

Train News: Bengaluru-Mumbai journey will be superfast! New train will start in June, path for Vande Bharat sleeper also cleared

How can women get their smart card made?

Delhi government will soon organize special camps to get this card made. Not only this, registration facility will also be provided at all the bus depots, metro stations of Delhi and through ‘One Delhi’ app. However, for this you may most likely need to carry Aadhar card and residence certificate of Delhi with you.

At present, this very important step of Delhi Government will not only strengthen the safety of women as before but it is also expected to bring a major improvement in many route managements of Delhi. Apart from this, the Delhi government has especially appealed to the women to keep an eye on the official announcements related to this card as soon as possible and get the smart card made in time.

The Education Department has opened a new path for those students studying in government schools of Delhi who could not succeed in class 9th or 10th. They will be given the opportunity to continue their studies again through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), so that they can move forward without leaving their studies midway.

Only government school students will get benefits

According to the instructions of the Education Department, this facility will be available only to those students who have studied in government schools of Delhi. This includes students who have failed at least twice in class 9th or 10th or are in compartment status. However, students who have failed for the first time in the 2025-26 session will not come under the ambit of this scheme and will have to continue their studies in their existing school.

Responsibility on schools, instructions to connect students

The department has directed all government schools to identify eligible students, contact them and motivate them to join the scheme. Besides, it will also be the responsibility of the schools to arrange the necessary documents and complete the application process on time, so that no eligible student is deprived of this opportunity.

Online process and arrangement of study centers

The entire admission process will be conducted online, which will be completed by school heads through NIOS system. Classes will be conducted at study centers set up in about 75 selected government schools of Delhi, so that students can get regular guidance.

Exam fee and subject options determined

Under this scheme, the examination fee has been fixed at Rs 300 per subject, while for practical subjects, Rs 150 per subject will have to be paid. The fee for Transfer of Credit (TOC) has been kept at Rs 230 per subject. Students will have the option to choose from subjects like Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Social Science, Science, Painting and Home Science. Apart from this, Data Entry Operation subject can also be selected additionally.

Last date of application

The last date of application for this entire process has been fixed as 7th July. The aim of the department is to bring the students who are on the verge of dropping out back into the mainstream and provide them better opportunities for further education.

Delhi government has taken a big decision to get the work done in government offices on time. Now every employee in all the government offices of Delhi will have to mark attendance through biometric machine. This rule will apply to everyone from small employees to senior officers. This order was issued when CM Rekha Gupta suddenly inspected the GST office recently. During this period many employees did not reach office on time. After this the government took this decision.

Delhi Government has said that now all the offices of Delhi Government and Delhi Municipal Corporation will open at normal time as before. Earlier, due to pollution and GRAP, the timings of many offices were changed, but now after the removal of GRAP, the old timings have been re-implemented. According to the new order, all MCD offices will open at 9 am and will work till 5:30 pm. Whereas Delhi government offices will function from 9:30 am to 6 pm.

Biometric machines will be installed in every department

The government has clearly said that now it will be necessary to install biometric machines in every department. In the offices where the machine is already installed, it will have to be kept in working condition. The name, position and records of every employee will be entered in the machine. Now attendance will be counted only by machine. The government has also said that additional chief secretaries, secretaries, department heads and other senior officers will also mark their presence in the machine. No one will be exempted from this rule.

Action will be taken against these employees

According to the new order, senior officials of the department will check the attendance of the employees every day. Action will be taken against those who come late, leave early or do not mark attendance. The attendance report of senior officers will have to be sent to the Chief Secretary by 12 noon every day.

After this, the complete report will be given to the Chief Minister every month. It will also be written in the report that which officer reached the office at what time and when he left. If any officer or employee comes late without reason, departmental action can be taken against him.

Complaints were being received about not reaching office on time

The government says that complaints were being received for a long time that many employees do not reach office on time. Some employees leave early and many times the work of common people in the office is not completed on time. Due to this people have to wait for hours.

Talking about it, after the Corona period, biometric attendance was stopped in many government offices. And now due to pollution and GRAP, office timings were also changed. But now after the situation has become normal, the government has re-implemented the old rules.

The government believes that biometric attendance will increase discipline in offices, employees will come on time and work of common people will get done quickly. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has given a clear message to the officials that negligence in government offices will no longer be tolerated.

The Lieutenant Governor said that with the opening of new canteens, the facility of food at low prices will be further strengthened in different areas of the capital. According to him, this initiative is proving to be a big relief for the economically weaker sections.

Emphasis on respectable and nutritious food

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that this initiative has been prepared keeping in mind the hardworking people. It is the primary responsibility of the government to provide nutritious and balanced food for five rupees. He instructed the officials that the standards of quality, cleanliness and taste of food should be strictly followed.
These canteens are being operated by Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board. Many public representatives and local citizens including Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra, Urban Development Minister Ashish Sood and Krishna Nagar MLA Dr. Anil Goyal were present in the program. The objective of the canteens is to provide clean and affordable food to daily wage laborers, rickshaw pullers, street vendors, sanitation workers and people from low income groups.

Scheme started from Atal Jayanti, subsidy of Rs 25 on every plate

The Lieutenant Governor said that this scheme was started on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Since then it is being taken forward in a phased manner. He said that the government is giving a subsidy of Rs 25 on each plate so that the needy people can get food for just Rs 5. Arrangements for regular monitoring and inspection have been made in the canteens, so that cleanliness and transparency are maintained.

Target of 100 canteens, focus on inclusive development

The Chief Minister clarified that the government’s aim is to establish 100 Atal canteens.
The Delhi government has taken a big step towards giving new heights to the health system of the capital. New medical facilities equipped with state-of-the-art technology have been started in Govind Ballabh Pant (GB Pant) Hospital, which is going to be of great benefit not only to Delhi but also to the patients coming from other states.

In a program organized in the hospital premises, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh inaugurated 256 slice CT scan, wide cath lab and new ICU. Many experts related to hospital administration and medical world were also present on this occasion.

Now treatment like private will be available in government hospitals also

During the inauguration, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the aim of the Delhi government is to equip government hospitals with international level facilities. He clarified that it is the priority of the government to eliminate the gap between rich and poor in treatment, so that every citizen can get equal and better health services.

North India’s first 256 slice CT scan

The Chief Minister informed that the 256 slice CT scan installed in GB Pant Hospital is one of the few machines in its category and has been installed for the first time in a government hospital in North India. This machine will prove to be very effective in fast and accurate diagnosis of cancer, heart disease and other serious diseases. He said, with the opening of the new Neuro Cath Lab in the hospital, treatment related to neuroscience will get a new strength. This hospital, which has been a leader in medical services and education since 1964, has been provided with these modern facilities at a cost of approximately Rs 38 crore.

Modern upgrade done by removing old technology

At the same time, Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh said that the Neuro IT system has been completely upgraded in GB Pant Hospital. Old machines have been removed and new technology has been installed, due to which common patients will directly benefit from better and faster treatment.

The Health Minister said that the government is expanding health services, taking forward the trust given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the people of Delhi. In the coming time, MRI, CT scan and modern testing facilities will also be started in other hospitals of Delhi.

Delhi government believes that these new facilities started in GB Pant Hospital will give a strong foundation to the health system of the capital and will further deepen the trust of the people towards government hospitals.

Free Gas Cylinder: Delhi government has taken a big step to reduce kitchen expenses on the occasion of festivals. The cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has approved such a scheme. Whose direct benefits will reach the economically weaker families. Arrangements have been made to refund the price of gas cylinders on major festivals like Holi and Diwali.

For this, the government has fixed a budget of Rs 242 crore. However, to take advantage of this scheme, some important conditions have to be fulfilled. It is most important here to follow the right process with the right documents. Otherwise there may be obstacles in getting benefits. Know how you can take advantage of this scheme of Delhi government?

What needs to be done to take advantage of the scheme?

To avail the benefits of this scheme of Delhi Government, first of all you should have a valid ration card. The name in which the ration card is made. It is necessary to have gas connection in the same name. Your bank account should be linked to Aadhaar and KYC should be updated. The mobile number should also be linked to Aadhaar. So that there is no problem in digital verification.

Also read:

The process will remain the same as before. You have to book the cylinder from your gas agency and pay the full price on delivery. After this the gas company will send consumer data to the government. If found eligible, an amount of Rs 853 will be directly transferred to your bank account.

You will not get a free cylinder directly

Many people, after hearing about this scheme, are wondering whether the Delhi government is really giving free cylinders. So let us tell you the method is a little different. Let us tell you that you will not get free cylinder. When you buy cylinders, you will have to pay their price first. After this, the government will send the amount of the cylinder i.e. currently Rs 853 to your account through Direct Benefit Transfer.

Also read:

This benefit will be available twice a year on the occasion of Holi and Diwali. That means, in a year, money equal to two cylinders will be given back to you. The entire process is digital.

Delhi Free Laptop Scheme: Governments of different states of the country run such schemes from time to time for the students of their states which can make studies easy and convenient. At some places bicycles are given, at some places scholarships and at some places digital resources are made available. Delhi government has also taken a big step in this direction.

Under the Mukhyamantri Digital Shiksha Yojana, free laptops will be given to the meritorious students who have performed well in class 10th. The purpose of this scheme is that the children will not face any problem in online learning for studies and preparing for competitive examinations. Let us tell you who can apply for this scheme and what will be its process.

Delhi Government Free Laptop Scheme

Delhi government will provide high configuration i7 laptops to 1200 top students every year. Whose price is more than Rs 60000. A budget of approximately Rs 7.5 crore has been fixed for this. This laptop will prove to be very helpful in works like online classes, e-books, project work, coding and research. Girls have also been given equal opportunities in the scheme. The government believes that if access to technology increases, both the self-confidence and future of children will be strengthened. This initiative is also an attempt to implement the vision of Digital India at the grassroots level. Where education goes beyond books and is based on technology.

Who can take advantage?

Both boys and girls will get benefit from the scheme of Delhi Government. Some fixed conditions have been laid down to avail the benefits of this scheme. First of all, it is necessary for the student to be a permanent resident of Delhi. The student must have passed 10th examination from CBSE board and ranked in top 1200 in the merit list. It is necessary to have studied from a regular school and take admission in class 11th. Open school or private candidates will not come under the purview of this scheme. If girls are also in merit then they will directly get the benefit of this scheme. Your son or daughter also fulfills these conditions. So can take benefit.

How to apply?

The most special thing about this scheme is that there is no need to apply separately for it. After the release of 10th result, top 1200 students will be selected directly from the merit list of CBSE. After this, laptops will be distributed in a program. If necessary, necessary documents can be submitted through the school. There is no long process, no hassle of filling forms or standing in queues. The selection process will be completely merit based.

Also read: If you have lost your ration card, get it made again in this way, know the complete process.
