To solve the problem of this traffic jam, the Public Works Department (PWD) has planned to build a flyover or underpass at the ITO intersection of Central Delhi. It is also planned to re -design a comprehensive transit corridor and street network.

PWD took out a tender of two crores

According to the report of Hindustan Times, officials who have been aware of the case have said that PWD has withdrawn a tender of two crore rupees for this project on Thursday. One consultancy firm will be appointed, which will prepare a detail project report for this intersection within six months and an integrated transit corridor plan will have to be planned for ITO and its surrounding areas. A PWD official said, “As it has been clearly stated in the tend documents, its technical, economic and socially viable decavation strategy is to develop, which includes multimodal integrations like elevated or underground roads, along with multimodal integrations around the crowded area of ​​ITO, which is from the most busy areas.”
