In Uttar Pradesh, schools up to class 12th were closed in Sambhal, Kanpur, Kanpur Dehat, Orai, Hardoi, Auraiya and Ambedkar Nagar. Whereas in Rampur, Bareilly, Gonda, Shahjahanpur, Pilibhit, Jaunpur, Kasganj and Badaun, instructions have been given to keep classes up to eighth class closed. Apart from this, the timing of schools has also been changed in some districts.

School timings changed in Punjab and Haryana

At present, there is no order to close schools for the entire state in Punjab and Haryana. But due to dense fog in the morning, schools are starting late in many districts. Winter vacation in Punjab will be from 22 December to 10 January. Whereas winter break in Haryana will start from January 1.
