Since the morning of August 14, the national capital Delhi and the surrounding areas have been receiving heavy rains, which has brought relief from the humidity, but in many places the problem of water logging and heavy traffic jam has arisen.

Many parts including Noida Sector 115, Dwarka, Sabaroto Park and Outer Ring Road have been flooded. Due to continuous rains, long queues of vehicles were raised on the underpass and main roads, which affected traffic.

The heavy rains in the early morning made the weather pleasant by declining the temperature, while in many parts of the city, water logging created problems for passers and drivers.

The speed of traffic stopped due to water filling in Sabaroto Park area of Outer Ring Road and many underpasses. Pictures of fierce jam in the Football Federation, Delhi Jal Board and Bharat Vandana Park, Dwarka area are going viral on social media.

One person shared the video on X and wrote, “I am stuck in traffic for 1 hour, please get it out.” To this, Delhi Police immediately replied and wrote, “Thank you, the regional traffic inspector has been informed.,

Dwarka Sector 9 intersection and surrounding areas remained jammed, where vehicles were crawling and moving forward. Due to rain, water and pits on the road increased the problems of two -wheeler drivers.

At the same time, in Noida Sector 115, many vehicles were closed due to water logging and people had to push them and shore them. Amid the rain, Delhi Police and traffic policemen are posted at various places and are continuously reacting to people’s complaints on social media.

The Meteorological Department has predicted intermittent rains till noon. According to experts, light to moderate rain may occur in the next 24 hours. Although the rain has brought relief from the humidity and heat to the people of Delhi, but the shortcomings of the drainage system have once again raised the old questions.
