After Diwali, the weather condition in Delhi remains bad. People are facing a lot of problems due to pollution and fog. Meanwhile, Delhi Government and Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa gave information about the steps being taken for pollution control and climate improvement.

Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that three main steps are being taken to reduce pollution in the capital. He said that vehicular pollution is being controlled, construction works are being controlled to reduce PM 2.5 pollution and existing industries within Delhi are being monitored. He said that about 3 crore people live in Delhi and the pollution of their surrounding areas like Noida, Ghaziabad etc. within a radius of 50 kilometers also affects the air quality of the capital.

Government is making plans to reduce pollution – Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa

Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that it is better for the people if the air quality index (AQI) is low. He said that Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s government is working on a comprehensive plan to reduce pollution. Minister Sirsa said that his ‘war room’ is very big and it is continuously monitored throughout the day. Every detail is kept under high level surveillance so that action can be taken at the right time for pollution control.

There will be artificial rain in Delhi soon – Sirsa

Sirsa said that one of the strategies to reduce pollution is cloud seeding or artificial rain technology. He said that after implementing this process, its results will be clear and when it rains, there will definitely be a reduction in pollution. He believes that the celestial rain will improve the air quality in the capital and will provide relief to the people.

People will get relief from weather improvement measures

Experts say that after Diwali, the level of haze and smog in the capital always increases, hence such steps are necessary. Delhi government is trying to control pollution as well as provide immediate relief to the people by taking measures to improve the weather. In the coming days, the general public will be able to experience the impact of cloud seeding and other measures.

Meanwhile, citizens have also been appealed to be careful while using vehicles and in construction work and follow the instructions given by the government, so that it is possible to improve the air quality.

It has been raining continuously in Delhi-NCR for the last 24 hours. While this rain gave relief to people from humidity and heat, waterlogging and traffic jams were also seen in many areas. According to the Meteorological Department, even today i.e. on 8th October, light to moderate rain will continue throughout the day. During this period the temperature is likely to be around maximum 30 degrees and minimum 19 degrees Celsius. Due to high humidity in the air, coolness is being felt and people are enjoying the cool breeze in the morning and evening.

Rain provided relief from heat

For the last few days, Delhiites were troubled by the humid heat, but the rains that started from Monday night changed the weather in the entire NCR. Continuous drizzle has cooled the atmosphere of the capital.

Areas like Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad also recorded a drop in temperature due to continuous rain. At many places, people faced some problems due to waterlogging and traffic, but overall the weather remained ‘cool-cool’.

Today there will be a camp of clouds

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky will remain cloudy throughout the day on October 8. There will be a possibility of light rain at intervals. During this period the wind speed can remain up to 10-15 kilometers per hour. The humidity in the air will remain around 80%.

Delhi’s AQI is currently recorded at 97, which comes in the satisfactory category. The rain has cleaned the air, due to which pollution has reduced for the time being.

Sunshine will return from October 9

According to the report of India Meteorological Department, the weather will be clear in Delhi-NCR from October 9 to October 13. During these 5 days, the sky will be completely clear and it will be sunny since morning.

The weather department has said that now there is no possibility of rain and the air will remain dry. This means that people will again have to face sun and heat for a few days.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a gradual increase in temperature in the coming days. From October 9 to October 13, the day temperature may rise to 35 degrees Celsius, while the night temperature is likely to be around 21 degrees Celsius.

Rain attacks are going on in Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir including Delhi. Yamuna is in spate in Delhi after heavy rains. Yamuna, which has been flourishing with water, has also immersed houses in many areas. The goods of the shops have been ruined, traffic is stalled, due to which the lives of thousands of people got upset.

The water level of the river reached 207 meters, which is the fifth time after 1963. The flood water entered the Nigambodh Ghat, causing the funeral process of funeral at Delhi’s oldest and busiest cremation ghats.

On the other hand, due to heavy rains in Punjab, the situation is getting worse. On Wednesday (September 3), the death toll due to floods increased to 37, while the crops standing on 1.75 lakh hectares of land in 23 districts were completely destroyed. The villages are submerged. The bodies of cattle are flowing in the flow of water.

It is considered to be the most terrible flood in the state since 1988. Relief and rescue work is going on at a war footing, while cooperation is coming from various institutions to help more than 3.55 lakh people stranded in 1,655 villages.

Alerts and closed educational institutions in affected districts

Due to heavy rains, the administration has issued an alert in Rupnagar and Patiala districts. People have been advised to stay safe in homes and be cautious. At the same time, in view of the situation, all schools, colleges and universities of the state have been closed by 7 September.

The ongoing rains in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir have made the water level of Sutlej, Beas and Ravi rivers more dangerous. The boom of these rivers and seasonal drains has submerged the towns and villages, due to which the common life has completely disturbed.

The water level of Yamuna river reached 205.75 meters on the old railway bridge in Delhi on Tuesday morning, crossing the danger mark 205.33 meters. An official gave this information. The rising water level of the river is creating a threat of floods in the low -lying areas of Delhi.

On Monday, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta assured that the government is fully ready to deal with the situation. According to officials, the water level of the river on the old Yamuna bridge was at 205.68 meters at six in the morning, which is far above the danger mark 205.33 meters.

Flood risk increased in Delhi due to release of water from Haryana

Officials said 2.07 lakh cusecs from Hathinikund barrage, 67,260 cusecs from Wazirabad Barrage and 61,958 cusecs of water from Okhla barrage. Due to excess water being released from the three barrages, the water level increased to 205.75 meters in the morning.

Due to the release of record amount of water from Haryana, the risk of floods in Delhi has increased, in view of which the authority is very cautious. Authorities have advised people living in the submergence area of Yamuna to move to safe places as the river water level is continuously rising and it is expected to reach a 206 meter withdrawal mark by this evening.

In Delhi Standing on Flood threat

Let me tell you, such situations were created earlier also, when water was flooded in Delhi after releasing water from Haryana. After the release of water from Hathinikund barrage in Haryana, the water level of Yamuna is continuously increasing, due to which there is a threat of floods in Delhi.

The Meteorological Department in Delhi has also predicted heavy rains and an orange alert has been issued for the capital. Earlier, such situations were created when water was flooded in many places in Delhi after releasing water from Haryana.

This year, the monsoon rains in the country have broken many records. In Delhi too, this time the rain has been more than the last several years. As a result, there was relief from the humid heat, but the life of the people was completely affected.

Major roads got jammed, people had to face problems due to waterlogging in many places and three school children were injured due to falling one wall. According to official data, it has been the highest rainfall in the last 15 years.

15 -year record broken

According to the information, 399.8 mm of rain has been recorded so far in August. Earlier, in the year 2010, 455.8 mm of rain was received. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the monsoon has been active for a long time this time. The reason for this is being believed to be the active geographical phenomenon La-Nina.

Effect of rain- capital submerged capital

Due to continuous rains, there was waterlogging in many areas of Delhi. A Delhi Traffic Police official said that traffic on Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) flyway, Mathura Road, ITO, Geeta Colony, Dhaulakuan and Badarpur-Ashram route has been severely affected.

Due to the queue of vehicles for several kilometers, the office going to the office and school buses faced a lot of problems. On social media, the passengers complained that even the ambulance got stuck in the jam.

A passenger said, “Why is traffic on the National Highway eight going to Delhi so slow?” Even the ambulance is having difficulty in moving an inch. “Another passenger wrote, referring to being trapped on the road from Badarpur to Sarita Vihar,” It took me more than an hour to cover a distance of four kilometers and now there is no movement for 30 minutes.

Accident due to old wall collapse

3 children were injured when an old wall collapsed in Mandavali area of East Delhi, although they narrowly survived. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) received complaints of waterlogging and falling trees.

At the same time, the Public Works Department deployed pumps and employees for quick drainage. The Meteorological Department has warned that in the next few hours, strong winds may blow with light to moderate rains.

AAP accuses corruption on BJP

While people are upset due to heavy rains, Delhi politics is also hot. The App and Congress accused the BJP that Delhi was submerged due to neglect and corruption. At the same time, BJP says that under the supervision of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, agencies immediately came into action and did not stop life completely.

Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj shared the video on social media and questioned the government, while BJP’s Virendra Sachdeva described it as “long monsoon, but vigilant administration”.

Delhi is seeing a different mood of monsoon this year. By the middle of August, this time the capital has received as much rain as it usually occurs in the whole year. Statistics show that in the last 25 years, so much rainfall was not recorded earlier in August. Despite this, the people of Delhi could not get relief from the sticky heat.

17 -year -old humid record broken

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the average humidity in Delhi from June 1 to August 18 was 76.5 percent. This is the second largest level since 2008. The average humidity of the capital is about 67.2 percent during the monsoon under normal conditions.

The special thing is that from August 14 to 18, the humidity broke all records and the average humidity reached 89.2 percent, which is about one and a half times more than normal.

June and July become the main reasons

Experts say that this time the biggest reason for increasing humidity was June and July in the month of Monsoon. Humidity finished third in June after 1973, while in July it was recorded at number two.

The situation was better in the early days of August, but between August 14 and 18, the sudden humidity level increased so much that all the previous records were left behind.

Dark connection between rain and moisture

July and August are traditionally considered to be the most rainy months in Delhi. This time only eight in July and four days in August till now, it has been such that it did not rain.

Meteorologists say that continuous rains increased the amount of moisture in the atmosphere. When the rain is fast, the temperature comes down, but the remaining moisture after light or intermittent rains makes the humidity unbearable.

Moisture flow from South and Northeast

Even though there was no rainfall of 19 days in Delhi in June, the flow of moisture increased towards Delhi due to early monsoon active in South and Northeast India.

The monsoon officially reached the capital on June 29 and since then continuous rains soaked the city. Meanwhile, the moisture level remained continuously high.

Humidity continued on Thursday

On Thursday too, Delhi was suffering from humid heat. Light rain was recorded at some places, but it could not get relief. The maximum temperature was 34.8 degrees Celsius that was 0.6 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature was 25.9 degrees. The air moisture level remained between 64 and 89 percent throughout the day.

It is still raining today

Delhi is also raining today (Friday). Earlier, the Meteorological Department had predicted that the sky will be cloudy on Friday and there may be rain with strong winds.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 26.6 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is estimated to reach 35 degrees. The level of relative humidity was 80 percent at 8.30 am and has recorded 0.1 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours.

Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 98, which according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) falls in the ‘satisfactory’ category. According to CPCB, AQI between zero to 50 is considered ‘good’, between 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, between 101 and 200 ‘medium’, between 201 to 300, ‘bad’, 301 to 400 is considered ‘very bad’ and between 401 and 500 is considered ‘serious’.

However, experts say that the relief cooling is still far away and the capitalists may have to face humid weather for a few more days.

The rainy season continues in the capital Delhi on Thursday (August 14) since morning. Roads were submerged due to continuous rains in NCR including Delhi. People had to face a lot of problems due to waterlogging on the roads. At the same time, there is a possibility of light rain on Independence Day on Friday (August 15).

According to the Meteorological Department, on Independence Day, the national capital will be cloudy with the possibility of light rain. According to IMD, the sky will be cloudy on Friday (August 15), the maximum temperature is expected to be between 33 ° C and the minimum temperature is between 23 and 25 ° C.

Waterlogging increased trouble

However, no weather warnings or alerts have been issued for Friday. In the last one week, the city has received intermittent rain, which has brought some relief from the humidity and sometimes there has been waterlogging in the low-lying areas, which increased the troubles of the people.

Rain will remain all week

According to the forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department, there is going to be a continuous rainfall in NCR this whole week. The Meteorological Department says that from August 14 to August 20, the sky will be surrounded by most clouds and in many areas, there may be light rains and thunderstorms. This will also record the temperature and people will get relief from the humid heat.

Decline in pollution levels

The effect of continuous rains is also visible on AQI. There has been a significant decline in pollution levels and air is being recorded in many parts of NCR in the ‘good’ category. According to experts, due to rain, the dust and polluting elements present in the atmosphere have been washed away, due to which people are getting fresh and clean air.

Advice to take precautions

The Meteorological Department has advised people to take precautions during the rain. People will feel relieved of humidity and heat, soaking in NCR for the next few days and enjoying the coolness.
