In the advisory issued by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department, it has been said that the water level of Yamuna can cross 206 meters at 2 am on August 19.

On Sunday (August 17) at 4 pm, 1.76 lakh cusecs of water was released from Hathini Kund Barrage, which may take at least 36 hours to reach Delhi. The Irrigation and Flood Control Department has also issued advisory to vacate the ghats of Yamuna. Currently, the water level of Yamuna in Delhi is 204.6 meters, which is above the warning level.

For the first time in this monsoon on Wednesday, 50,000 cusecs of water was discharged from Hathinikund barrage in Haryana, which reached 61,000 cusecs around 6 am. According to officials, the release of water at around 4 pm was reduced to 40,000 cusecs.
