The whole of India must be wishing for the recovery of Shreyas Iyer. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had given an update saying that Iyer has suffered a spleen injury, which clearly means internal bleeding. He was also admitted to the ICU, but the good news is that now Iyer is out of the ICU.

Iyer suffered a rib injury while taking a catch in the third ODI match played against Australia in Sydney. When all the test reports came out, it was found that he had internal bleeding. Cricbuzz’s recent report has revealed that Iyer has now come out of the ICU, but the danger is not completely over as his condition still remains critical.

If sources are to be believed, Shreyas Iyer is currently out of danger, but his condition was critical due to leakage of blood inside the body. While taking the catch of Alex Carey, Iyer fell on the ground on his chest, after which he was admitted to the hospital in Sydney itself. It is being told that some friends are still with Iyer and after the completion of the visa process, one of his family members may reach Sydney soon.

BCCI had given update

BCCI had given an update on Shreyas Iyer’s injury and said that he has suffered an injury below the left rib. The scan revealed that he had suffered an injury to his spleen. It was told that Iyer is under the supervision of doctors and is recovering well. The spleen is a small organ, which is located below the ribs. This organ works to filter blood.
