Severe cold and fog continue to wreak havoc in Uttar Pradesh. Heavy fog was seen even on New Year, whereas in some parts of Western Uttar Pradesh it remained cloudy and it became difficult to see the sun. According to the Meteorological Department, people will get slight relief from cold in the next two days but after this the cold will increase again.

The Meteorological Department has predicted dry weather in most parts of the state today also on January 2. However, dense fog is going to continue in the western and eastern divisions. There will be dense fog in the morning and evening in 34 districts of the state. Zero meter visibility is expected at some places.

Fog warning in these districts

There will be some relief from the cold due to sunshine during the day on Friday. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense fog in Noida, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Hapur, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Baghpat, Bijnor, Moradabad, Meerut, Rampur, Sambhal, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah on Friday.

Apart from this, warning of dense fog has been given in Jalaun, Jhansi, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Shravasti, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj and Kushinagar and surrounding areas today. Fog has been predicted in the state in the coming days as well, due to which there seems to be no relief at present.

Mercury will rise in the next two days

Barabanki state has been the coldest district in the last 24 hours. The minimum temperature here was recorded at 3.0 degrees Celsius, which was 5.2 degrees below normal and was the coldest day of the season. Whereas Gorakhpur, Hardoi, Ayodhya. Sultanpur, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur have been the coldest districts. The minimum temperature here has been between 3-5 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that in the next two days, the maximum temperature of the state will rise by 2-4 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will also rise, after which the cold will increase once again and the minimum temperature will fall by 2-4 degrees.

Continuous fog and cold wave continues in Uttar Pradesh. It is extremely cold in the morning and evening. Dense fog is being seen in most of the districts due to which people are facing problems in movement. Today also on 31st December the attack of fog and cold day will continue. There will be a dense blanket of fog over the New Year celebrations late in the evening. However, there will be a change in the weather from January 1 and rain is expected at many places.

The weather is expected to remain dry even today in both the eastern and western divisions of Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, a yellow alert has been issued for dense fog in most of the districts in the western division today. There has been a warning of dense to extremely dense fog at some places in the eastern division. At some places, warning of cold day has also been given.

Kanpur remained the coldest district of the state

Kanpur remained the coldest district of the state in the last 24 hours. The minimum temperature recorded here was 4.4 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, the temperature in Fursatganj, Prayagraj, Etawah, Barabanki also remained between 5-7 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature of the state will increase by 3-5 degrees Celsius in the next 3-4 days. After this, there is a possibility of a drop of 2-3 degrees again.

Warning of very dense fog has been issued in Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Kushinagar, Deoria, Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Basti and Sant Kabir Nagar today. There is also an alert of extreme cold day in these districts today. Orange alert of very dense fog has been issued today in Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Bahraich, Shravasti, Barabanki, Gonda, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau and Ballia.

Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Sambhal, Badaun, Kasganj, Etah, Firozabad, Agra, Etawah, Mainpuri, Farrukhabad, Hardoi, Kannauj, Auraiya, Kanpur, Lucknow, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Amethi, Sultanpur, Jaunpur, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, A warning of dense fog has been issued in Varanasi, Chandauli, Ghazipur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Mirzapur and Sonbhadra today.

People forced to hide in homes

Due to the harsh winter in the state, people’s life has become completely disrupted. Fog has the maximum effect in the morning and evening, hence people are avoiding coming out of their homes, however, on Tuesday, sunlight came out in many districts during the day, which brought some relief to the people.

The scourge of cold and fog is not showing signs of abating in Uttar Pradesh. Even today, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of dense fog in 53 districts of the state and cold day at many places. In the next two days, a new western disturbance is also becoming active in the Himalayan regions. Due to which the temperature will drop further and the cold will increase.

These days, bone-chilling cold continues in UP. People are saving themselves from the cold by lighting bonfires. The Meteorological Department has said that on 25th December also, there will be a blanket of white fog in most of the districts of the state. There will be zero meter visibility at many places. There will be some relief from sunlight during the day. But by evening the fog will start wreaking havoc again.

Cold will increase further in the coming days

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will be dry in UP today. There is a possibility of dense to very dense fog at some places in the western part of the state on Thursday. While there will be extremely dense fog in many parts of Eastern UP, a warning of cold day has been issued at many places from Sitapur to Gorakhpur. There is no possibility of respite from fog on 26th and 27th December.

In UP today, there is orange alert of dense fog and cold day in Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Bahraich, Shravasti, Barabanki, Gonda, Balrampur, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Santarvidas Nagar, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Basti and Sant Kabir Nagar. Whereas yellow alert of cold day has been given in Ghazipur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Pratapgarh and Rae Bareli. There will be dense fog here also.

Orange alert of dense fog has been given in Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur and Mirzapur. Whereas, yellow alert of dense fog has been given in Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Moradabad, Sambhal, Badaun, Kannauj, Farrukhabad, Kasganj, Hardoi, Lucknow, Unnao, Kanpur, Amethi, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau and Ballia today.

Due to cold and fog, people have been forced to hide in their homes. It will get colder in the coming days. The minimum temperature is likely to drop gradually by about two degrees Celsius in the next two days.

At present there is no hope of relief from fog

A warning of dense fog has been issued in 32 districts of UP today. Fog will continue to wreak havoc in both the divisions on 25th and 26th December also. However, exposure to sunlight during the day can provide some relief. The minimum temperature in the state will drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next two days. After that, there is a possibility of a slight increase in it in the next 24 hours except in the eastern part.

In UP today, orange alert of dense fog has been issued in Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Bahraich, Shravasti and Balrampur and surrounding areas. Whereas there is a yellow alert of dense fog in Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Sambhal, Amroha, Badaun, Hardoi, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Gonda, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Deoria, Kushinagar, Gorakhpur, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau and Ballia.

The severity of cold in the state is being seen even more in rural areas. People are now forced to resort to bonfires. Due to winter, holiday has been declared in schools in many districts and in some places, school timings have been changed. The cold will increase further in the coming days. However, at present there is no sign of rain.

Uttar Pradesh is in the grip of dense fog and severe cold these days. Cold day conditions persist in many districts. The cold wave has now forced people to hide in their homes. The situation is such that visibility becomes extremely low due to fog in the morning and night. They are resorting to bonfire to escape the cold. Even today the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of dense fog in 16 districts of the state.

Yellow alert of dense fog in these districts

In UP today, yellow alert of dense fog has been given in Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Bahraich, Shravasti, Gonda, Basti, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Deoria, Gorakhpur and Sant Kabir Nagar. Balrampur was the coldest district of the state in the last 24 hours. The minimum temperature here went down to 4.5 degrees Celsius, which is 4 degrees less than normal.

People shivering from cold from Lucknow to Varanasi

From the capital Lucknow to Meerut, Agra and Prayagraj, the effect of cold is being felt significantly. A severe outbreak of cold and cold wave was seen in the religious city Varanasi. The maximum temperature of the district was recorded at 15 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius. There was also problem in the movement of vehicles due to fog. Etawah, Shahjahanpur, Bulandshahr and Kanpur, Ghaziabad, Bareilly were the coldest districts of the state.
