If you also eat food too often, it can prove to be very dangerous for your health. In today’s busy life, people do not have time, which is affecting our daily life as well as our daily diet. People eat their food very quickly, which is a very wrong way.

According to doctors, when a person eats his food slowly, many effective changes are seen in our body, which are very beneficial for health and also play an important role in protecting us from many diseases. If you eat food slowly, it is very effective for our stomach i.e. gut health.

Why is it important to eat slowly for digestion?

According to nutritionists, when we eat food slowly and chew it more, it proves to be very beneficial for our stomach and digestive process. When food goes inside our body in small pieces, the body does not have to work hard to digest it. When we chew food too much, the production of enzymes in our saliva increases, which is very helpful in digesting food.

How does eating slowly prevent weight gain?

If a person eats food slowly, he also gets rid of the problem of weight gain. By eating food slowly, our brain gets a signal that our stomach is full and there is no need to eat more, due to which we stop eating. But if you eat food at a fast pace, then the brain does not get the signal to fill the stomach, due to which we eat more food than required. This is one of the main reasons for weight gain.

Beneficial for teeth and mouth health

Eating slowly and comfortably has a positive effect on our digestion as well as our oral health. When we eat food comfortably and by chewing it properly, our gums and teeth get proper exercise, which is necessary for their strength. Chewing food excessively increases the secretion of saliva in our mouth, which helps in eliminating the harmful bacteria present in the mouth and does not allow bad odor from the mouth to develop, thus keeping our mouth clean.

proper absorption of nutrients

Eating food slowly and chewing it thoroughly not only improves our digestion but also helps in giving strength to the body. When we chew food properly and eat comfortably, the body easily absorbs the essential nutrients like vitamins, minerals and proteins present in the food, which are necessary to keep the body healthy. But if we eat food in large pieces and hastily, our intestines are not able to break down those pieces properly, due to which the body has to work harder to absorb the nutrients, which is not at all good for health.

The health of teeth has a deep impact on the health of our entire body. Dental problems like swollen gums, tooth decay, pyorrhoea etc. are not only inconvenient, but they can also cause infection to spread in our body. According to the Ministry of AYUSH, Yogasana and Pranayam also prove to be very effective for the care of teeth and gums. Yoga provides relief from dental problems. Also, it helps in maintaining oral hygiene. Especially yoga asanas like Sheetkari, Sheetali, Vata Nashak Mudra, Sarvangasana and Apana Mudra are considered very beneficial for teeth care.

How to do Sheetkari Asana?

Sheetkari Pranayama is such a yoga, which is helpful in reducing tooth decay. When we do Sheetkari Pranayam, it reduces the heat inside the mouth and reduces the swelling of the gums. In this pranayama, you have to sit in a comfortable position, open your lips, inhale and make the sound of ‘see-see’ and slowly exhale through the nose. This should be repeated 10 to 12 times. Through this process, cold air enters the mouth, which strengthens the gums and improves the health of teeth. With regular practice, the problem of tooth decay reduces to a great extent.

Vata Nashak Mudra is also very effective

Vata Nashak Mudra is also very useful in removing problems related to teeth. This mudra helps in removing toxic substances accumulated in the body, which improves the health of teeth and gums. To perform Vata Nashak Mudra, the index finger and middle finger have to be folded and joined with the palm and the thumb has to be placed slightly on top of the other fingers. One should sit comfortably and remain in this posture for 10 to 15 minutes. During this period, body fatigue also reduces and dental problems get relief. This mudra increases the strength of the teeth by improving the blood circulation around them.

This is the way to do Shitali Pranayam

Shitali Pranayam is a cooling yoga for teeth, which cools the body from inside and helps in taking care of teeth. In this pranayama, the tongue has to be taken out while sitting on the ground in Sukhasana posture. Then, by bending the edges of the tongue upwards, one has to inhale through the mouth and exhale through the nose. Doing this 10 to 15 times a day reduces the swelling of gums and makes teeth stronger. This pranayama also prevents fungal infection and swelling of gums by reducing the heat inside the mouth.

This posture is also very important for teeth

Sarvangasana is also very beneficial for preventing dental problems. This asana helps in preventing tooth decay and gum disease caused by the growth of bacteria in the mouth. While doing Sarvangasana, the body has to lie down on the waist and raise the legs. After this, slowly raise the hips and waist and put the weight of the body on the shoulders. This situation has to be managed by supporting the back with hands. In the beginning this asana should be done for a few seconds and gradually the time should be increased. This improves blood circulation, which helps in nourishing the teeth and gums.

Do you also brush just two minutes in a hurry in the morning? This habit can pose a serious threat to you. According to Dentist Dr. Neetu Aggarwal in Delhi, it is very important to take care of oral health. Brushing quickly can increase the risk of fatal disease like cancer, not only the problem of teeth or gums.

According to dental experts, poor oral health is directly related to many types of cancer. Especially from cancer of the mouth, throat and esophagus (esophagus). Apart from this, there is also a risk of dementia if not brushed properly. Due to this disease, there is a risk of swelling in the brain, infection in the teeth. To prevent teeth from rotting, do brush at least once every day.

How does the risk of cancer increases?

When you do not brush properly, bacteria start accumulating in the mouth. It causes inflammation, which is also called periodontal disease. This long -term inflammation can promote the growth of cancer cells in the body. Apart from this, toxins emanating from the harmful bacteria and gum disease present in the mouth can reach other parts of the body, which increases the risk of cancer.

Increases threat to alcohol or tobacco

Some studies have also shown that poor oral health can increase the risk of human papillomavirus infection in the mouth, which is a major cause of throat and oral cancer. If alcohol or tobacco is also consumed along with bad oral health, the risk of cancer increases manifold, because the poor state further increases the effects of these harmful substances.

How to rescue?

According to Dr. Chetna Awasthi, to maintain good oral health, it is very important to brush properly for at least twice a day, which includes a good cleaning of teeth, gums and tongue. Additionally, use floss daily to remove food particles and plaque stuck between teeth. The use of antibacterial mouthwash can also help keep the mouth clean.

For regular checkup of your oral health, it is also necessary to go to the dentist every six months or once a year. Avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol consumption and taking a balanced diet also plays an important role in maintaining oral health. Remember, your oral health is important not only for your teeth, but also for your overall health.
