US President Donald Trump has directed the US Defense Ministry to send soldiers to Portland on Saturday (September 27, 2025). President Trump has taken this step at the behest of US Homeland Security Minister Christie NoM. Trump wrote in a post on social media platform Truth Social that all necessary soldiers should be sent to protect the war -torn American state Portland.

Donald Trump wrote in the post on Truth Social Platform, ‘I am instructing Defense Minister Pete Hegseth to provide all the necessary soldiers to protect the Portland and any of our ice facilities due to the attacks by Antifa and other domestic terrorists and if needed, I am also allowing them to use full strength.

President Donald Trump’s statement came at a time when Trump claimed that the crazy people of Portland were trying to burn buildings in the US state.

Trump said, ‘This is a small example, but this is the most violent example. This happens every night and it is being done for many years. You think that perhaps they may have spoken at some point, but what are they doing? But we are going there and we will catch a large number of people who are doing so in Portland. They are provoking people in a professional manner and are anarchist. He is really quite anarchist.

At the same time, in the beginning of September, President Trump described the living in Portland as living in hell and he said that he is planning to send more federal soldiers there. Trump’s plan has come amid federal control over Washington DC and a kind of threats in Chicago and Baltimor states, which he described as part of his comprehensive plan to reduce the rate of crime.

US President Donald Trump has changed the name of the Department of Defense (Ministry) to the Department of War (DOW). US Defense Secretary (Minister) will also be known as War Secretary. Trump has argued that the world will now see America’s ‘strength and determination’.

On Friday (September 05, 2025), Trump issued a new order and along with this the sign board of Department of Defense on Pentagon (Headquarters of Defense Department) was removed. The name of ‘Department of War’ was written in his place. US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also wrote ‘Secretary of War’ on the strip outside his office.

What did the US President say about ‘Department of War’?

Two years after the end of World War II, ie in 1947, the US changed the name of the War Department to Defense Department. Earlier in 1789, the then President George Washington established the Department of War to take responsibility for the issues related to the war and Navy department.

In his order on Friday, Trump appreciated the decision taken 236 years ago and said that the US had won 1812, the First World War and Second World War (1940–45) along with the name (War Department).

Why did America change the name?

However, the US won the Iraq in the Gulf War (1991), but the Vietnam War (60–70s) and Afghanistan (2001–21) did not win. America’s military weakness has been revealed openly due to Russia-Ukraine war. This is the reason that Trump announced to change the name of America once again as the world’s military superpower.

On changing the name, Pete Hegseth also said that preparations for war will have to be done for peace, because peace can be established only by strength. All 11 theater commands of the US are under the command, soldiers, fighter aircraft and warships, DOWs.

America has the third largest army in the world

America is considered the most powerful army in the world due to the world’s third largest army (13 lakh soldiers). The US defense budget is about one trillion dollars ($ 997 billion), which was a total of 37 percent of the world’s spending on arms and forces.

The name of the headquarters of the Defense Department of America has now changed. President Trump has now changed the name of the Pentagon to the Department of War, that is, it will now be called the war department. Indian Army Prachand Helicopters Lch: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has received an order to prepare 156 light fighter helicopters (LCH) for the Indian Army and Air Force. On security, the Cabinet Committee has approved this deal of Rs 62,500 crore. 62,500 crore has a defense deal

The public sector company HAL wants to complete this project just like LCA. In this project too, HAL gave different parts of the helicopter to private companies like fuselage and wings. Now the defense deal of 62,500 crore has been done, about 40 percent of the work will also be given to the private sectors.

HAL has orders worth about 2 lakh crores

HAL is the largest aerospace company in the country. It has orders worth more than Rs 2 lakh crore and is expected to get orders worth more than Rs 70,000 crore in the near future. By including private companies in this, defense production will increase and work will be quickly.

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited has designed these light fighter helicopters for campaigns in height areas. This is the only attacker helicopter, which is capable of flying and landing up to a height of up to five thousand meters, or up to about five thousand meters. These LCH are appropriate to deploy in challenging areas like Siachen Glacier and Eastern Ladakh. These helicopters are equipped with advanced weapons. These include air -to -air and air -to -ground missiles, rockets and turret guns. These LCH are capable of dealing effectively with enemy tanks, bunkers and air threats. Apart from this, they can also destroy air defense system.

HAL has delivered the army 15 LCH

The deal includes 90 helicopters for the Indian Army and 66 for the Indian Air Force (IAF), leading the IAF joint purchase effort. The Indian Army is dealing with HAL for this under ‘Make in India’, which aims to reduce dependence on foreign military supply and increase indigenous defense production capabilities. HAL has already delivered 15 LCH to the Indian Army.
