A Muslim leader will also become Deputy CM
Allavaru told that there can be many Deputy Chief Ministers in the grand alliance. He said, ‘If need arises, not only 2 but also 4 Deputy CMs can be made, one of whom will be from the Muslim community.’ He said that the Grand Alliance is trying to ensure that all major sections and communities get equal share.

Why was the announcement of Tejashwi’s CM face delayed?
Allavaru clarified on the delay in formal announcement of Tejashwi Yadav’s name. He said that this was a planned process. ‘In the first meeting held in April, it was decided that the CM face would not be announced until the seat distribution and joint manifesto was prepared. This decision was taken about three weeks ago and the announcement was scheduled to be made before Diwali.

Differences regarding seat distribution, but no crisis
Allavaru also clarified on the news of tussle over seats between RJD and Congress. He said, ‘It is normal to have some differences in seat sharing. This keeps happening in coalition politics. The media sometimes hypes it up, making it seem as if relations have deteriorated, but it is not so. He said that the Grand Alliance is strong and united and all the parties are working for a common goal.

Before the assembly elections in Bihar, senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot played an important role in resolving the infighting within the Grand Alliance. Till the last moment it could not be decided who would contest on how many seats in the alliance.
