When he was returning after finishing his shooting, he saw a very old and weak beggar who was suffering from hunger. Seeing him, Dev Anand remembered the days of his struggle. Without thinking anything, he took out the entire income from his pocket and put it in the hands of that beggar.

Zeenat Aman wrote- ‘It was 1970 and OP Ralhan was feeling very sad for me. They gave me a small part in the stir. Which had a slight effect. I had packed my bag to shift to Malta with my mother and stepfather. After that Zeenat remembered the day when she met the team of Dev Anand and Navketan who was casting Hare Rama Hare Krishna. OP Ralhan had adorned his name. She was observing all during the meeting. After some time he was called for a screen test, after which he was cast for Jasbir or Jainis in the film.

Shooting used for a long time
Zeenat Aman further wrote- ‘At that time it used to take a long time to start and end the film. About 2-3 years. My mother and I had once again prepared to leave Mumbai, but then Dev Saheb stopped us. He promoted that he would edit and release the film soon. When the film was released and became a big hit and I became a star.
