During snowfall from the mountains, many such videos go viral, which win the hearts of people. These days, once again a video related to faith and nature from Devbhoomi of Uttarakhand is going viral. In fact, a video of Shiva Aarti taking place amidst the snow covered Himalayan peaks in Rudranath temple, which is included in the five Kedars, is going viral on social media these days. Seeing this scene of lighting of lamps, echo of mantras and blanket of snow spread all around, people are calling it Shivlok on earth.

Why did the video catch people’s attention?

Aarti of Rudranath temple is visible in this video viral on social media. Where devotees are seen engrossed in the worship of Lord Shiva amidst severe cold and snowfall. This ancient temple of the eighth century is dedicated to the face of Lord Shiva and being situated at an altitude of 3,600 meters, it is considered to be the most difficult temple to reach among the Panch Kedars. The peace and divinity seen in the video has touched the hearts of people. Let us tell you that Rudranath is the fourth temple of Panch Kedar Yatra, it comes after Kedarnath, Tungnath and Madhyamaheshwar. From here, there are spectacular views of Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi, Trishul and Nanda Ghunti, which make the place more special.

Unique confluence of faith

According to tradition, Gopeshwar, the symbol of Lord Shiva, is brought here in winter. Devotees reach Pitrudhar via Panar and Lute Bugyal. While they worship their ancestors, a huge fair is organized here on Shravan Purnima and devotees complete their journey by taking bath in Surya Kund, Chandra Kund, Tara Kund and Mana Kund. Whereas Rudranath’s track is not easy. It can be reached through three main routes – Helang, Sagar village and Mandal village. Dense forests, open forests and high mountains make this track memorable. Whereas this track lasts for 4 to 5 days.

Another user wrote that Uttarakhand is truly a land of gods. At the same time, many people comment expressing concern that these are some places which should not be made too famous, otherwise there will be crowd and chaos here too. Apart from this, some users raised questions on the government interference in the temple and wrote that it is better to leave some good things untouched.
