In the fourth over of Bengaluru’s innings, Jacob Bethel was out after scoring 15 runs in 12 balls. Karthik Tyagi’s short pitch ball first hit Baithel’s hand and then his helmet. When the ball hit his helmet, the gold chain fell off Jacob Bethel’s neck.

Batchelor did not notice that his gold chain had fallen on the pitch and walked out of the field after being out. When RCB’s next batsman, Devdutt Padikkal came to bat, he picked up the chain from the pitch and gave it to the match officials.

Jacob Bethel is struggling with bad form

After the injury of Phil Salt, Jacob Bethel has got a chance as an opener in the Royal Challengers Bangalore team. So far, he has been able to score only 85 runs in his 6 innings in IPL 2026. So far his highest score in the season has been only 27 runs.
