CM Yogi was addressing the program organized at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha at Padleganj, Gorakhpur on Sunday. The Chief Minister said that the tradition of Sikh Gurus is unique and unwavering. From Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Guru Govind Singh Ji Maharaj, every Guru sacrificed himself to protect Sanatan Dharma and the nation. He said that whenever there was a crisis on Indian culture, Sikh Gurus went ahead and saved it from their sacrifice.

CM Yogi especially remembered the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. He said that in the 350th year of his sacrifice, programs are being organized across the country. Shortly before, this event started through Nagar Kirtan and Kirtan recitation from Chief Minister’s residence. Similarly, Guruvani was organized for the first time at the Chief Minister’s residence on the 550th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj.

‘Four Sahibzadas sacrifice the glorious chapter in Indian history’

CM Yogi recalled the sacrifices of Guru Govind Singh Ji Maharaj’s four Sahibzadas Baba Ajit Singh, Baba Jujhar Singh, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh. He said that his sacrifice is a glorious chapter in Indian history.

He said that when he was lured to accept Islam, both life and princely state would be safe, but they chose the path of sacrifice instead of bowing. The younger Sahibzadas were martyred by selecting them in the wall, but they showed firm loyalty to protect their religion and nation.

The Chief Minister said that this sacrifice inspires all of us today. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 26 December is being celebrated as ‘Veer Children’s Day’ all over the country. This is a historic decision to pay tribute to the sacrifice of Sikh Gurus and Sahibzadas.

Extension of facilities in gurudwaras

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this gurdwara of Padleganj has been the faith center of Sikh Sangat for years. Earlier there was a lack of facilities here, but now with the help of the tourism department and the government it has been given a modern form.

Now Guruvani recitation, langar and other religious programs and better facilities for devotees will be able to be done here. He said that the gurudwara is not limited to any caste or community only. Every person who comes here is welcome. This is the Sikh tradition and the real message of Guruvani.

Tamil nadu temple: In 21 temples of Tamil Nadu, more than 1,000 kg of gold items offered by the devotees were melted to 24 carat rods and deposited in banks. The state government said on Thursday (April 17, 2025) that it is getting interest of Rs 17.81 crore annually from this investment of gold rods.

Gold items offered in temples which were not used were melted to 24 -carat rods in the government mint in Mumbai and invested in State Bank of India (SBI) under the Gold Investment Scheme.

In the policy article presented in the Assembly, Minister of Hindu Religious and Charitable Fund Department PK Shekhar Babu said, ‘Interest earned from investment is used for the development of temples concerned’. Three committees have been constituted under the chairmanship of retired judges for the three areas of the state to monitor the implementation of the scheme.

‘A interest of Rs 17.81 crore per year’
Giving details of investment of gold sticks till March 31, the article said, “10,74,123.488 grams of pure gold received from 21 temples received an interest of Rs 17.81 crore per year, which was determined according to the value of gold at the time of investment.”

Instructions to melt silver items without use in temples
One of the temples, the Arulmigu Mariamman Temple in Takapuram in Tiruchirappalli district gave the highest number of 4,24,266.491 grams (about 424.26 kg) for the investment scheme.
