Dewald Brevis Replaced Gurjapneet CSK IPL 2025: MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings have played master stroke between IPL 2025. Chennai on Friday included South Africa’s young batsman Dewald Brevis in place of injured fast bowler Gurjapneet Singh. Brevis has joined Chennai for Rs 2.2 crore.

Dewald Brevis scored 291 runs in South Africa’s SA20 League in 2025 this year at a strike rate of 184.17. He played for Mi Cape Town in this league and played an important role in making the team champion. He finished sixth among the players who scored the most runs in the league.

The IPL said in a statement to the media, “Chennai Super Kings have decided to include South Africa’s Dewald Bravis in place of injured Gurjapneet Singh for the remaining matches of Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.”

21 -year -old Dewald Brevis was earlier part of Mumbai Indians in 2022 and 2024 and played 10 matches. He has played 81 T20 matches and scored 1787 runs.
