Now major action has been taken against administrative and police officials in the Tonkkala firecracker factory blast case of Dewas. Ujjain Division Commissioner Ashish Singh has suspended Tonkhurd SDM Sanjeev Saxena and Naib Tehsildar Ravi Sharma with immediate effect. Both the officers have been accused of serious negligence in factory inspection and monitoring of explosive materials.

The government has also suspended Sonakchh SDOP Deepa Mandve. It is alleged that periodic inspection and reporting regarding factory operations was not done. Apart from this, Dewas SP Puneet Gehlod has also suspended Tonkkala outpost in-charge Ramandeep Hundal. It has been said in the order that negligence and lack of monitoring has come to light at the administrative and police level, due to which this action was taken. At present the investigation of the entire matter is going on.

Information of death of many people in the accident

The entire area was shaken by the explosion that took place on Thursday, May 14, in the firecracker factory operating in Tonkkala, located on AB Road, Dewas, while even the walls of the nearby houses shook. Many workers working in the factory are said to be seriously injured, while information about the death of some people has also come to light.

The factory did not make any arrangements for fire safety

A laborer from Bihar who worked in a firecracker factory claimed that there were no adequate fire safety arrangements in the firecracker factory and a large number of workers from Bihar were brought to the unit at a monthly salary of Rs 14,000 on the pretext that they had to do only ‘dust work’.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced compensation

At the same time, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has expressed grief over this incident and also announced compensation for the family members of the deceased. CM Mohan Yadal has announced that an assistance amount of Rs 4 lakh each will be provided to the families of the deceased by the MP government. At the same time, the injured will be given free treatment. The Chief Minister has prayed to Baba Mahakal for the speedy recovery of the injured.
