These 5 films did not get entry in Gulf countries

1. Tiger 3
This film of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif was released in 2023. This movie, made under the banner of Yash Raj Films, was highly appreciated but the Gulf countries banned its entry. Describing this spy thriller film as negative, it was banned in a total of 6 countries including Oman, Kuwait and Qatar.

2. Kaathal – The Core
This is a romantic thriller film which will be released in 2023. It was directed by Jio Baby. While showing a romantic story, the angle of homosexuality was also shown in the film. The story was quite interesting and a great twist was also seen in it. But due to the homosexual angle shown in the film, it did not get entry in the Gulf countries.

3. Gangs of Wasseypur
This film, directed by Anurag Kashyap, was released in 2012. Although the film failed to perform well at the Indian box office, it has become a cult classic among the audience. Many actors including Manoj Bajpayee, Pankaj Tripathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui won everyone’s hearts with their excellent acting. But due to the film’s raw dialogues, intense action scenes and wild characters, Gulf Gulf declared it objectionable to the Muslim community.

4. Fighter
This film of Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor and Deepika Padukone will be released in 2024. Sanjeeda Shaikh and Karan Singh Grover also played important roles in this. The story of the film was quite controversial and it was also based on true events. For this reason, no Gulf country allowed this movie to be released.

Made in the direction of Aditya Dhar, ‘Dhurandhar’ is a gangster drama. This is the first ‘A’ rated film of Ranveer Singh’s career. Before the release, advance booking of ‘Dhurandhar’ has started and money is being printed in huge numbers.

CBFC has given ‘A’ category certificate to ‘Dhurandhar’. The runtime of the film is 3 hours, 34 minutes and 1 second (214.01 minutes). ‘Dhurandhar’ will be the longest Bollywood film among all the films released in 17 years. Earlier, the film ‘Jodha Akbar’ released in 2008 was 214 minutes long.

‘Dhurandhar’ is earning crores in advance booking
‘Dhurandhar’ is making huge money in advance booking. Ranveer Singh’s film has already collected crores of rupees on its opening day even before its release. According to Sacknilk, the film has sold around 51 thousand tickets so far and has collected Rs 2.28 crore. With block seats this figure has become Rs 3.89 crore. If reports are to be believed, ‘Dhurandhar’ can make an opening of Rs 15 to 20 crores at the box office.

The synopsis of ‘Dhurandhar’ is written in the CBFC certificate – ‘Based on the background of IC-814 hijack in 1999 and the attack on the Indian Parliament in 2001, this film is based on India’s Intelligence Bureau chief Ajay Sanyal. Who plans a bold and indomitable mission to infiltrate and destroy a powerful terrorist network operating from Pakistan. To carry out this risky operation, Sanyal recruits an unlikely person. A 20 year old boy from Punjab, who has been arrested for committing a crime motivated by revenge. Recognizing the boy’s potential and bravery, Sanyal decides to use him as a weapon to take down Karachi’s brutal underworld mafia.

Star cast of ‘Dhurandhar’

The petition of the parents of late Ashok Chakra winner Major Mohit Sharma was heard in the Delhi High Court. The family had demanded in their petition that the release of the film Dhurandhar be banned, as they suspect that the film is inspired by their son’s life and may present a wrong image of him.

While hearing the case in Delhi High Court, Justice Sachin Dutta asked the petitioner’s lawyer how it was proved that the film is based on the life of Major Mohit Sharma, to which the lawyer said that it appears so from the trailer and promotional content of the film. He also cited the reactions of the audience and critics on social media in which the film’s connection with Major Sharma is being linked.

CBFC called the film completely fictional
During the hearing of the case, Delhi High Court questioned what exactly are the similarities and whether the story clearly matches his life. Meanwhile, the lawyer appearing for the Central Government said that the work of certification of the film is currently going on in CBFC. The committee has seen the film and in its opinion it is completely fictional and not based on the life of any person. He said that the formalities are underway and if needed, the film can also be sent to the Army.

High Court gave suggestion
Delhi High Court, while hearing the case, also suggested that the matter is sensitive, hence it would be better to send it to the Army. Major Sharma’s family also demanded a private screening of the film so that they could see for themselves what was shown in the film. The lawyer on behalf of the film producers argued that this petition has been filed in haste. Only the trailer of the film has been released and it would not be appropriate to impose any kind of restriction at this stage. He clearly said that the film has nothing to do with Major Mohit Sharma.

Delhi High Court order
While hearing the case, Delhi High Court said that the certification of the film is also pending with CBFC and it will take the final decision. While disposing of the petition, the court directed that CBFC should seriously listen to the concerns of Major Sharma’s family and pay attention to their views.
