The main objective of the discussion was related to the security of the India and Myanmar border, as militant organizations like ULFA (I), NSCN (I) and PLA have set up their camps in the Myanmar border area adjacent to India in the last few years.

In such a situation, there is a possibility of deteriorating law and order in Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Mizoram. In Myanmar, the hold of Juti (Military) regime is constantly loosening. In such a situation, rebels are dominated in provinces like Arakan, San and Syang. The rule of Junta has been reduced to around the capital Naipido. In such a situation, there is a possibility of anti-India militant organizations being active in the north-east states in the near future.

India’s role in Myanmar earthquake rescue work also discussed

The special core (3 core) is the responsibility of the areas adjacent to Myanmar. Lieutenant General Tiwari reviewed the preparations for operational and security during the tour.

The Army Commander also reviewed the new generation of military equipment developed with the aim of increasing war capacity.
