What is the whole matter?
Actually, due to the war between US and Iran, the aluminum supply chain in India is being affected. Due to which now reports of shortage of canned beer and diet coke have started coming in India. In the increasing heat, this news is quite troublesome for the people. This problem first came to light from Mumbai, after which the reduction is also being seen in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru and Pune.

There is a shortage of aluminum cans.
There is a shortage of cold drinks and all canned drinks these days because the supply of aluminum cans is being affected globally due to the Iran war. Due to which the raw material for making cans is not available on time. Apart from this, production is also being affected due to shortage of LPG used in making glass bottles.

Drinks can be expensive!
Due to shortage of cans, companies are now sourcing aluminum cans from UAE, Sri Lanka and South-East Asia. Which are 25-30 percent costlier than before. The price of glass bottles has increased by about 20% and other packaging materials have also become costlier by 20–25 percent. Due to this, it now seems that in the coming time, the prices of canned drinks as well as bottled drinks may also increase.
