There is a lot of buzz about Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda’s film Ikkis. This film is based on the life of Paramvir Chakra winner Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal. Agastya is going to be seen in the lead role in this film. This film was earlier scheduled to release on 25th of this month. But it has been postponed some time before its release. Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dandhar’ has dominated the box office, that is why it has been postponed.

Twenty One will now be released in theaters on January 1, 2026. The makers have also announced the new release date of the film. The reason behind the postponement of the film is the box office success of Dhurandhar. Now producer Dinesh Vijan has revealed the real reason for the postponement of the film.

Why was the film postponed?

In a special conversation with PTI, Dinesh Vijan has explained the reason behind the postponement of the film. He said- I think you should take a decision which is good for everyone, and it will help you too. This is a film that needs space. We are lucky that we are getting a solo date at the beginning of the year. This happened with Chhava and Pushpa and it happened with Hindi medium films too. This is a way to avoid clutter.

Let us tell you that apart from the success of Dhurandhar, the clash of Twenty One was going to be from Kartik Aryan- Ananya Pandey’s Tu Mera Main Teri, Main Tera Tu Meri. Apart from this, James Cameron’s Avatar Fire and Ash has also been released in theaters this week. All these films were going to have an impact on twenty-one.

Talking about Twenty One, veteran actor Dharmendra will also be seen in it along with Agastya Nanda. This is Dharmendra’s last film, hence people have emotions associated with it.

Thama earned this much on the fifth day

According to Sacnilk report, Thama has collected Rs 13 crore on the fifth day i.e. on Saturday. However, the collection figures for the fifth day have not yet come officially. But if the film earns Rs 13 crore on the fifth day, then the total collection of the film till now becomes Rs 78.60 crore.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s fifth highest grosser

With this the film has become the 5th highest grosser of Ayushmann Khurrana’s career. The film has left behind Andhadhun (74.32 crores), Article 15 (66 crores), Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan (62 crores), Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (42 crores) and Vicky Donor (35.32 crores). If the film continues to earn like this, it will break the records of Bala and Dream Girl 2 also.

The film has become the 6th highest grosser of Rashmika’s career. The film has left behind Seetha Ramam (8.23 crores), Varisu (6.82 crores), Goodbye (6.82 crores) and Kubera (2.17 crores). The film may soon break the record of Pushpa 1 (106.35 crores).

Thama opened with a collection of Rs 24 crore. In this, Rs 23.75 crore was earned in Hindi and Rs 25 lakh was earned in Telugu. On the second day, the film collected Rs 18.6 crores. Did business of Rs 13 crore on the third day. The film’s earnings also declined on the fourth day. The film earned Rs 10 crores. Now the film’s earnings have increased on Saturday. The film earned Rs 13 crores.

Dinesh Vijan Controversial Comment on Shraddha Kapoor: Shraddha Kapoor was well received by the audience in both ‘Stree’ and ‘Stree 2’. But now a video of the film’s director Amar Kaushik is going viral in which he is seen explaining the reason to cast Shraddha in ‘Stree’. Amar Kaushik has told that Dinesh Vijan had taken her in the film due to the actress’s ‘witch -like laughter’.

In an interview with Komal Nahata, Amar Kaushik said- ‘The credit for the casting of Shraddha goes to Dinesh Vijan. He was coming in a flight with Shraddha and she met her on the flight. So he said, Amar is a person when he is a person, like a ‘woman’, a person is like a witch, sorry reverence. So he said something like this. The witch spoke or I am not sure. So when I got them, first I said to him.

Both parts of ‘Stree’ remained superhit
Let us know that the film ‘Stree’ released in 2018 was a superhit film. In 2024, the sequel of this film ‘Stree 2’ was released, which made a great collection of Rs 597 crore at the box office. Now the third sequel of the film will come in 2027.
