US President Donald Trump has once again claimed that the peace made between India and Pakistan in May was possible only because of his stern warning. Trump said that he had given a clear message to both the neighboring countries. If they do not stop mutual conflict, America will not make any trade agreement with them.

Trump again repeated his old claim

During the America Business Forum held in Miami, Trump said, “I was negotiating a trade deal with both India and Pakistan. Then I got the news that a war-like situation had arisen between the two countries. Seven planes have fallen, the eighth is also badly damaged. Then I said, “If you guys fight, I will not do business with anyone.”

Trump jokingly said that all this happened because of his tariff policy. He further said, “I explained to them that both are nuclear power countries, trade is better than war. The very next day I got a call that both the countries have agreed on a ceasefire. I said – great, now do business.”

India rejected Trump’s claim

This is not the first time that Trump has called himself a peace messenger in the India-Pakistan conflict. According to reports, he has repeated this claim more than 60 times in the last six months that because of him the tension between the two countries reduced. However, India has completely rejected this claim and said that no third country is involved in its bilateral affairs.

Before May, India had launched ‘Operation Vermillion’, which was in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Under this mission, terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and PoK were targeted. This action, which lasted for four days, ended on May 10, when both the countries announced a ceasefire.

Trump further said that he has ended the old disputes not only between India and Pakistan but also between many other countries. “Kosovo-Serbia, Congo-Rwanda, Armenia-Azerbaijan. Many such conflicts which were going on for decades, I resolved in an hour.” He said that America is maintaining peace on the strength of power and now no country wants to clash with America.

An important diplomatic step was seen between South Korea and China during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference. Recently elected South Korean President Lee Jae Myung on Saturday hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping for the first time. This meeting was held in Gyeongju city of South Korea, where both the leaders discussed many important issues in the state level meeting and dinner. The special thing about this visit was that Xi Jinping reached South Korea after almost a decade, which is expected to bring new energy in the relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, President Lee Jae-Myung appealed to China for help in resuming talks with North Korea. He said that the recent high-level talks between China and North Korea are indicating that a favorable environment is being created for talks with North Korea. “I want South Korea and China to take advantage of this positive environment to strengthen strategic communication and resume dialogue with North Korea,” Lee said.

Why is this meeting important?

According to Reuters report, this meeting was important for both the countries from economic and political point of view. Lee Jae-Myung gifted Xi Jinping a high-quality wooden board for the traditional Chinese strategic game ‘Go’ during the meeting. He said that South Korea wants to bring China closer as its largest trading partner.

 What did Xi Jinping say?

Xi Jinping said in his address, “China and South Korea are important neighbors that can neither be removed nor isolated. Both countries should move forward with cooperation and trust.”

What happened between the two leaders in the meeting?

In the meeting, both the leaders also discussed regional stability, strengthening economic relations and maintaining security balance in Asia. South Korea, a strategic ally of the US, advocated a phased approach to North Korea’s denuclearization. However, North Korea rejected this proposal, calling it an “impossible dream”.

Leader Kim Jong Un had said this about America

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un recently said that he will talk to America only if America completely abandons the terms of denuclearization. This statement has increased tension in the region, but this meeting between South Korea and China is being seen as a new hope for restoration of peace in this direction.

Switzerland Neutrality Policy: You may not believe this, but there is a country in the world whose army has not lost a single soldier in any war till date. Although countries around the world have faced devastating conflicts and countless military sacrifices, this country has not gone to war for more than two centuries. The name of this country is Switzerland.

What is the secret behind this?

Actually Switzerland follows the policy of permanent neutrality. This policy started after the Vienna Congress in 1815. After years of European turmoil during the Napoleonic Wars, the major powers agreed to recognize Switzerland as a neutral state. This meant that he would not participate in any international war in the future. This diplomatic decision became the basis of Switzerland’s foreign policy and has been strictly maintained ever since.

How neutrality protected Switzerland during World War I

When Europe was being devastated by the First and Second World Wars, Switzerland completely managed to stay away from direct conflict. Despite being surrounded by powerful countries on all sides, it protected itself through diplomacy and tight border security. Whereas the neighboring countries had to face destruction, occupation and millions of difficulties. But Switzerland remained firm and did not eat even a single soldier.

role of the swiss army

Despite not being involved in the war, Switzerland has a strong and well-trained army. Every able-bodied male citizen is required to undergo compulsory military training. Its objective is that the people of the country should always be ready for national defense when needed. In any environmental crisis, the army comes forward to help the citizens.

Center for Peace and Diplomacy

Because of its neutrality, Switzerland has become the global capital of peace diplomacy. It hosts the United Nations Office at Geneva and major international organizations such as the International Red Cross. This country always stands for peace talks in major global conflicts. After more than 200 years of adopting neutrality, Switzerland is the only country that has never lost any of its soldiers in war. The defense approach of this country is not based on aggression but on preparedness. The country’s terrain surrounded by mountains and strong goats provides it with natural security.

General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, General of Pakistan and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), commented on the power of New India in the 21st century, describing India as a powerful player in the new world order, an important part of the Global South and an aspirational country.

Addressing the program ‘Balancing Relationship Between Global North and Global South: Challenges and Opportunities’ organized in Islamabad, the General said, “Ladies and Gentlemen, in short I would like to say that India is an important country of the Global South and an ambitious country with an important place in the world order.”

These allegations were made against India

In the statement, General Shamshad Mirza described India as an “imperialist” and a country pursuing a policy of expansionism and said that India promotes fundamentalism, disregards UN resolutions and violates human rights. He described India as a possible ‘Trojan Horse’ of the Global South.

Suggestion to resolve dispute through third party

General Shamshad Mirza also said that mediation of third countries or international organizations is necessary to resolve the disputes between India and Pakistan. He said, “We will welcome such efforts by any country, multipolar panel or international organization.”

Comment on India’s military power and politics

Describing the Indian Army as militarized from a political point of view, the General said that this mix is dangerous for regional stability. Referring to Operation Sindoor, he said that India used military power and Western support for its dominance.

Global South and India’s role

The Global South is a group of developing countries located in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Oceania. These countries are emerging economically, socially and politically and have often historically faced colonialism and resource exploitation.

India is a major leader of the Global South. It strengthens the voices of these countries through the G-77, Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and other forums. During its G20 presidency in 2023, India prioritized issues of the Global South, particularly supporting these countries through climate finance, technical assistance, digital technology, renewable energy and vaccine diplomacy (COVAX).

A strange situation arose in the White House of America on Monday, when US President Donald Trump came face to face with Australian Ambassador Kevin Rudd. This incident happened when Trump was holding a press conference with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

In fact, an Australian journalist asked Trump whether he had any problem with the old statements of Prime Minister Albanese’s government or Ambassador Rudd? To this Trump replied, “I don’t know anything about him,” while Kevin Rudd was present in the same room. Trump then asked Rudd, “Did you do anything wrong? Are you still in government?” To this Rudd smiled and said, “No, Mr. President, I was in the government before coming to this post.”

What did Trump say to Rudd during the meeting?

According to local media reports, during their later meeting in the Oval Office, Trump told Rudd, “I don’t like you and probably never will.” This sourness between the two is not new. In the year 2020, Kevin Rudd had called Trump the most destructive president in history, in response to which Trump called Rudd a “dirty” and “less intelligent” person.

REPORTER: The Australian ambassador said something bad about you.

TRUMP: Where is he? You said something bad?

AMBASSADOR: Before I took this position…

TRUMP: I don’t like YOU either. I probably NEVER WILL!

PM Albanese tried to strengthen relations with America

However, even amidst this tension, Prime Minister Albanese tried to strengthen relations with America. Both the countries signed a new agreement to increase cooperation on Rare Earths and Critical Minerals, which is considered a big step towards reducing dependence on China. Another important aspect of this meeting was that the Trump administration is currently reviewing the AUKUS defense agreement, which includes the US, Australia and Britain.

It is clear from this entire incident that even though relations between Trump and Rudd may be strained, the strategic interests of both the countries are still in the same direction, the aim of which is to stop the growing influence of China and strengthen mutual defense partnership.

Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has shown a sharp attitude towards Kabul and said that all the Afghan citizens living in Pakistan will have to return to their homeland and the old relations with Afghanistan will no longer be maintained. After this statement the cross border tension has increased further.

Asif said in social media posts and public statements that now Kabul has its own government and system, hence Pakistan’s land and resources belong to 25 crore Pakistanis and due to foreign refugees, pressure on local security and resources is increasing. He also said that Pakistan remained patient for a long time but did not get a positive response from the Afghan side.

Amidst the tension between the two sides, Pakistan and Afghanistan had some time ago agreed to a ceasefire for 48 hours, which was later discussed to be extended for talks and diplomatic efforts. However, there are allegations that immediately after the ceasefire, Pakistan carried out air strikes in Paktika and some surrounding areas, after which the Taliban said that the ceasefire had been broken. These incidents have dealt a blow to peace efforts between the two countries.

Khwaja Asif made a big claim

Khawaja Asif also claimed that Pakistan has given several notices to Afghanistan regarding terrorist incidents taking place from across the border. He cited sending 836 protest letters and 13 démarches and would no longer rely solely on diplomatic appeals or letters. He warned that wherever acts of terrorism are coming from, they will have to pay a heavy price.

Khwaja Asif made these allegations against the Taliban government

Asif also accused the Taliban government ruling in Kabul of working in India’s interests and a conspiracy was being hatched against Pakistan due to the collusion between India and the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). India has completely rejected this allegation and the allegations and counter-allegations being made by regional players have made the situation more complicated.

The defense minister also said that Pakistan has suffered major losses in the humanitarian and security sectors since the Taliban came to power in 2021; He presented the count of violence during this period by mentioning 10,347 terrorist incidents and 3,844 casualties. Asif said that if there is an attack from Afghan parts, Pakistan is ready to give a strict and decisive reply.

According to local and international media reports, efforts to continue diplomacy are underway: talks are being raised about possible negotiations and mediation in Qatar to control border violence and find a diplomatic way forward. Nevertheless, airstrikes and accusations against each other have intensified regional tensions and the threat of renewed violence remains.

Afghanistan has repeatedly rejected Pakistan’s request for a high-level delegation to visit Kabul. In the last three days, Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, ISI chief Asim Malik and two other senior generals had sent three separate visa requests, but Kabul refused each time.

What reason did IEA give for this decision?

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) cited Pakistan’s recent violation of Afghan airspace and air strikes on civilian areas in Paktika province as the main reasons behind the decision. Afghan officials said that no Pakistani delegation can be allowed to come to Kabul when their citizens are under attack.

Who are included in the Pakistani delegation?

The Pakistani delegation included Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, ISI chief Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik and two other senior Pakistani generals. According to sources, only these four members had applied for the visa. However, Afghanistan continuously refused and gave a clear message that Afghanistan will not negotiate on Pakistan’s terms.

What do experts say?

Analysts believe that this is not just a diplomatic insult but a signal to protect Afghan sovereignty and retaliate against Pakistan. Relations between the two neighbors were already strained due to cross-border incidents and allegations of harboring terrorists, and now the visa rejection has further increased this tension. Let us tell you that in the past there has been huge tension between the countries. The Afghan army claimed that 58 Pakistani soldiers were killed during the confrontation between the two countries. However, later a ceasefire agreement was reached between the two countries.

US President Donald Trump spoke to reporters on Air Force One before leaving for the Middle East tour. During this, Trump was asked whether the war between Israel and Hamas is now over? On this, Trump said that basically the war is over and I am sure that the ceasefire will continue and I think it will also last. During this, Trump also claimed to end 8 wars including India-Pakistan.

Trump told reporters, “This is the eighth war that I have resolved. It has been reported that the conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan is also going on. I will resolve it after returning from the Middle East.” Trump said that I am an expert in resolving wars and I hope that the dispute between Pakistan and Afghanistan will also be resolved.

Trump again spoke on India-Pakistan ceasefire

During the talks, Trump once again reiterated the need for ceasefire between India and Pakistan. He claimed that the dispute between the two countries was ended through economic pressure. He said about this, “I said that if you people want to fight and have nuclear weapons, then I will impose 100, 150, even 200 percent tariff on both of you. After this, the matter was resolved in 24 hours. If there was no tariff, this war would have never stopped. Even before this, Trump has claimed to establish a ceasefire between India and Pakistan.

He said that our aim is to satisfy everyone. Whether they are Jews, Muslims or from any Arab country. After Israel, we will go to Egypt and meet the leaders of all the major countries who are involved in this agreement.

Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar gave detailed information on the current status of relations between India and America in KEC 2025. He said that at present there is disagreement between India and America over business issues. Jaishankar clarified that there is no final agreement between the two countries so far in the trade discussion, due to which the US has implemented some tariffs on India, which India has publicly united.

He said that another tariff has been implemented with energy sources from Russia. Jaishankar said that other countries, whose relations with Russia are more complex or challenging, have done this type of purchase. He said, “These issues need to be resolved and India is actively working on it.”

We should avoid both excesses- neither the problem should be completely denied nor any situation should be considered extremely frightening.”

The news of Russia supplying the RD-93MA engine to Pakistan for JF-17 Thunder Block-III fighter...

The news of Russia supplying the RD-93MA engine to Pakistan for JF-17 Thunder Block-III fighter aircraft has intensified the political stir in India. Congress and BJP have come face to face on this issue and there is sharp rhetoric between the two parties.

Congress accused

Congress spokesperson Jairam Ramesh attacked the central government and said that if Russia, who was once the most trusted strategic partner in India, is now giving advanced engine to Pakistan, then it is the failure of the Modi government’s foreign policy. He said, “The Modi government should clarify that Russia, which has been our traditional ally, is now providing technical help to Pakistan. This engine will be installed in JF-17 Block-III aircraft. The advanced version of the same model which used PL-15 missiles against India during Operation Sindoor.”

Jairam Ramesh also added that India still continues to talk about the S-400 missile system and SU-57 Stealth Fighter from Russia, which shows the government’s image-based diplomacy failure.

Did BJP spokesperson Amit Malviya say?

BJP spokesperson Amit Malviya described the allegations of the Congress as “false and misleading”. He said that Russia has clearly rejected all such claims. In his X (East Twitter) post, Malaviya wrote, “Russia has denied the news of the engine supply to Pakistan. Jairam Ramesh has formed the basis of a website report that is known to spread the pro-Pakistan propaganda. Neither official confirmation, no reliable source, just one more news.” He further said that the Congress seems to be standing in favor of the enemy instead of the national interest by spreading such rumors repeatedly and is part of the “Information War”.

At present, the engine supply to Pakistan has not been confirmed by Russia any official means. But this entire controversy has definitely given rise to a new debate on India’s foreign policy and relations with Russia.
