Earthquake tremors were felt on Monday (September 08, 2025) in India’s neighboring country Bhutan, which was measured at 4.2. According to the National Center for Sismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at only 10 km depth, which leads to the possibility of afterchox. NCS reported that the earthquake came on 8 September 2025 at 11:15 am. Its center was at 26.89 north latitude of Bhutan and 91.71 pre -longitude.

Bhutan’s seismic threat
Bhutan is located in the young ranges of the Himalayas, which makes it seismically sensitive. According to the Indian Sismic Code, Bhutan Zone comes in IV and V, which is the most active seismic region of the country. There are many active fault lines in Bhutan, which poses a risk of large earthquakes.

Earthquake also occurred in China
Earlier on Sunday (September 07, 2025), there was a 4.1 magnitude earthquake in China. This earthquake was also recorded at a depth of 10 km, due to which there is a possibility of afterchock. Explain that low -depth earthquakes often cause more damage than deep earthquakes.

Increase in other natural hazards
In Bhutan, not only earthquakes, but also natural disasters like floods, strong winds, landslides, sudden floods and forest and structural fire are also increasing from the glacier lake. Seasonal changes have intensified due to climate change. The storms in 2011 and 2013 caused heavy damage in rural areas.

Responsibility of government and citizens
The Bhutan government and the local administration have advised people to be vigilant. Rescue operations are being intensified in view of possible afterchox. Experts are also suggesting that earthquake-resistant construction techniques should be adopted and all citizens should stay in safe places.

Floods in the last 7 villages of Gurdaspur, situated on the India-Pakistan border, have caused severe havoc. The water of Ravi and Ujdis entered these villages so much that they lost contact with the rest of the world. Roads have been drowned, houses have a pile of mud, and the fields and barns have been destroyed. The only way to reach these villages is now NDRF boats, which are engaged in relief and rescue operations day and night.

Things still critical

For the last several days, these villages are in bad condition. Even though the water level has been reduced now, the situation is still bad. The villagers say that water came out of their houses, but the soil and mud ruined everything. The crops have been completely destroyed, which has broken the back of the farmers.

A local farmer said, “Our life was on farming, now everything is over. Neither the house is left, no farm. Now just waiting when the situation should improve.”

NDRF’s rescue operation

NDRF deputy commandant Deepak Singh said that rescue works were started from August 26-27. So far, more than 1500 people have been evacuated. People were taken out of flood water through ropes, tractor-trolleys and boats.

Deepak Singh said, “The water of the rivers Ravi and Ujis comes from Himachal, due to which the flood took the form of a gigantic form. The contact of seven villages was completely broken. We not only evacuate the people, but also brought relief materials. Medical camps were set up and every necessary step is being taken with the district administration.”

Relief from boat, still challenges

NDRF teams are delivering food and drinks, medicines and other important things to these villages through boats day and night. But the challenges are not less. The ways to reach the villages are completely closed. Boats are the only support, and many places water is so deep that there is a danger in the operation. Nevertheless, NDRF, Army, BSF and local administration are doing everything possible.

Please tell that due to heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, the water level in Ravi and Ujdis increased dangerously. Extra water was released from many dams in Punjab, such as Pong, Ranjit Sagar and Bhakra, which further worsened the situation.

NDRF started its preparations before the flood season. Deepak Singh said, “We are ready before the flood every year. But this time the flood level is the worst after 1988.”

Earthquake in Afghanistan: Eastern Afghanistan caused a 6.0 magnitude earthquake, killing at least 812 people and injuring 2,817. Relief work is going on fast. This information has been given by government spokesperson Jabihullah Mujahid. According to the Taliban official, it is the deadliest earthquake of the last decade. The affected areas require immediate hospitals, shelters, food and clean water.

India came forward to help

Foreign Minister of India Dr. S. Jaishankar today spoke to Afghan Foreign Minister Maulvi Aamir Khan Muttki and expressed his condolences on the loss of life in Afghanistan. Dr. Jaishankar told on social media that India has sent tents for a thousand families in Kabul today. He said that the Indian mission has brought 15 tonnes of relief material from Kabul to Kunar district. The minister also assured that more relief materials will be sent from India from tomorrow. Dr. Jaishankar prayed for the early recovery of the injured people and said that India stands with Afghanistan in this difficult time.

Relief work and challenges
Soon after the earthquake, the rescue team is engaged in relief work. Relief work is being interrupted due to closure and landslides in remote mountainous areas. The health centers and hospitals of the affected areas are under heavy pressure. Many people are not able to stay in their homes due to security concern and are forced to sleep in the open.

Joy Singhal of the International Red Cross and Red Crisant Society told Al Jazira that her teams immediately started relief work in the affected communities. However, many remote hills and low -populated areas have not yet been helped. The number of tents is also not enough and it is becoming difficult to reach the landslide area. Afghanistan has been sensitive to earthquakes in eastern and western parts. Last year, more than 1,000 people died in the earthquake in the western part. On 7 October 2023, there was a 6.3 magnitude earthquake in the country.

A spokesman for China’s Foreign Ministry has made it clear that the construction of the hydropower project in the low -lying areas of the Yarlung Jangbo River (the original enterprise of the Brahmaputra River) is completely under the sovereignty of China. • It is told in the Garuda Purana that at the time of death, the soul has to go through.
• The creature should do ‘practice’ his actions, rites and meditation so that it does not stagger at that time.
• This is a spiritual mock drill, the practice of religion in life is the safety shield of the future.

• Among the ancient Gurukuls, not only learning, behavior, war, morality, and collective exercises were taught.

Spirituality is hidden in knowledge, it would not be wrong to say the root of modern mock drill. Mock drill is not a modern concept, but is an esoteric form of the spiritual tradition of India.
